  • Substitute - arguably, along with "My Generation," the first punk rock song. Great riff.
3) Led Zeppelin
  • Kashmir - great riff, and a very powerful and atmospheric recording.
  • Stairway To Heaven - a cliched pic, but it's hard to argue is legacy and power.
  • Trampled Underfoot - underrated song. Very raw and with keyboard work.
4) The Beatles
  • Something - Sinatra called it the greatest love song ever, and it's hard to argue otherwise. It never says "I love you" once, but it gets the message across beautifully.
  • Let It Be - one of the most uplifting songs ever. Beautiful from start to finish, great guitar solo as well.
  • I've Got A Feeling - great interplay betweem John and Paul. They really cook on this one.
5) Queen

  • Bohemian Rhapsody - a classic.
  • Hammer To Fall - a great, turbo charged rocker about communism. Even better when done live.
  • Don't Stop Me Now - just a really fun song.
