Cap still cleaning up! Just like I called.

When do you all think this happened, when Cap became the people's champ? Winter Soldier seems like the best bet, but he's been my favorite since TFA.

Great poll.

Thank you

Thank you

I thought TFA was very average the first few times I watched it, but for some reason it grew on me a lot once Avengers came out. But I definitely think it was TWS which made people realise what a good character he was. I voted Hulk and have always liked Cap as I used to watch the really old cartoon as a kid and have read some of his comics, thought not a lot. But TWS definitely made me sit up and take more notice of Cap as a character.

The Winter Soldier did marvelous job selling Cap. And Civil War solidified him as the heart of MCU.

Before The Winter Soldier, everyone's favorite was Tony Stank.

Tony Stark, he always has been. I unashamedly love that a-hole. :woot: I think RDJ is a massively underrated actor.

Anyone who says MCU doesn't have magnificently flawed heroes needs to looks at this guy.

If I can have more than one, Cap, Thor, Iron man and Loki. I'm really hoping Captain Marvel will be added to my list

Cap.

Evans has a leading presence on par with Viggo in the LOTR series IMO. If not he at least has the same glow about him.

Bucky, Daredevil, Tony & Thor make up the other top 4 (of 5).

Thor has to be my number 1 choice. The character is pretty unrelatable, he's a big blond god - but the characterisation that they've used, where Thor isn't taken too seriously (and doesn't take himself that seriously) has been really enjoyable. A lot of people moaned about Thor TDW, and while it had some weak points (villains being one of them, Kat Dennings another) I found overall the movie tremendous fun, and the Thor-Loki relationship gets more entertaining every time they meet up. All in all, I think making Thor an engaging character is probably the biggest ask, of all the main Marvel heroes. As such, I enjoy him the most.

As for the other main characters, Tony and Cap deserve a mention.

I've always loathed Cap, but his last two movies were so good that I'm starting to change my opinion of him - the Russos do brilliantly with the character, and Evans has really grown into the role.

I initially loved RDJ's Iron Man, but found he stagnated as a character throughout Iron Man 2, 3, Avengers and Age of Ultron - which are all just more of the same stuff. But, in Civil War the character took on a lot more depth and introspection.

Mind you, Civil war is just a superb superhero movie - really I think of it as an Avengers film rather than a Captain America film, because so much of the action and story relies on the other characters. Hell, it sucked me in, and I'm a hard core DC fan - and really none of the Marvel characters in it are those I really cared about (as a kid I was partial to the X-Men, but never cared for the Avengers). Anyway, Civil War was so well done that I actually gave a **** about how it turned out. And the action...superb ! Cap/Bucky vs Tony was everything Batman v Superman should have been (I hope Snyder took some notes !)

I mean, in B v S, the whole mother thing was just terrible, but in CW, when Tony sees the video of his parents' murder....man, I got a bit emotional. That fight has so much emotion invested in it - and the way it develops is completely believable (in terms of superhero fights) it's back and forth and of course Tony has the upper hand - but hesitates from administering the coup de gras, and of course Cap ultimately wins and at the same time loses.
Yeah, it's simply great, probably the best fight scene in a superhero film - or at least the most emotional.

Maybe that says more about CW as a movie, that it could make me really care about characters I ordinarily don't give a toss about. A total triumph in the cbm genre, which it has lifted to new heights.

But I digress, Thor gets my vote, with Cap and Tony a close second.

The funny thing is, I find Chris Evans to be a pretty limited actor, he's just found a role that suits him very well. The fact that he appears to be a very likable person both on- and off-camera also really helps.

If you think he's limited, I'd recommend Fantastic Four and Sunshine, as he puts on two totally different characters, not just from Cap but from each other. Also, you can't go wrong with Snowpiercer. He's basically the polar opoposite of a limited actor. :yay:

I'm usually not one to be all "The Netflix shows need to cross-over, blah, blah, blah" but, I'd love to see Cap and Daredevil interact. Two of my favorite characters in the MCU and I think they'd have a good relationship.

Cap, Daredevil, and Spider-man are my three favorite MCU characters so seeing Matt suited up next to either (or both!) would be a dream.

I'm not sure if he's the least likely or the most likely to pop up in one of the movies. Bernthal is a tremendous actor.

Bernthal is indeed awesome, I expected a lot of him as Punisher, and he has far surpassed my high expectations, he deserves to be in the movies. Plus it's just always great seeing The Punisher.

I've already seen both Fantastic Four and Sunshine, and I thought he was good in both (especially in the second one) Still haven't watched Snowpiercer, though.

Look, I'm not saying he's a bad actor, far from it. I just don't think he's particularly versatile; and compared to Downey Jr. he sure isn't, and yet he's the one winning this poll. It's quite impressive.

Cap is definitely up there. I also love Daredevil and Kingpin. Iron Man is of course great. Love Rocket Raccoon and Groot.

So many greats.

Kingpin,Kilgrave,Punisher,Loki and Ultron(sue me!) are my favourite non-hero characters.

Aaaw what the heck I just have to add Ant-Man to the list. A true show-stealer.

As many comics as I've read, I've never even slightly cared for the Punisher until I saw Bernthal's performance.

Which just goes to show how well the characters in the MCU are portrayed.

Even if you didn't care for the character in the comics, you'll most likely enjoy the live action adaptation.

 Fair enough. :)

Oh wow, that's a tough choice! I love the portrayals of all the heroes so far! I'm leaning towards Daredevil, Cap or Iron Man. I also love Thor, he brings some of the funniest humor to the movies, though he's not as deep of a character as those I mentioned. Same goes for Ant Man! I also have a feeling that Black Panther will be among the top of my list after having seen Civil War and a particular scene that gave me goosebumps. And we've yet to see Spider-Man Homecoming! Wow!

I'll give my number one spot to Cap!
