Favorite Restaurants: A Hypester's Guide to Good Eats Out.

Besides Five Guys, I usually opt for onion rings instead of fries these days.

I put onion rings in my burgers. Win win.

I had Outback Steakhouse for the first time last night and i have to say i had some of the best Ribs ever. Everything was just right. Favorite place to eat though would probably be...Logans. Red Lobster is excellent for Sea Food to...

On a side note i have to agree with some on 'In-N-Out'. I had some in SD and i just don't see what all the hypes about. It just felt like an average burger to me and i had a Double Double:o. But then again I'm told that's because i didn't order from the 'Hidden Menu' I'll say 'Whataburger' takes the crown for me:o. If you pass by FL try it out...

You gotta get a 3x3 with animal style fries :o

Taboo and Taverna Opa are restaurants I enjoy going to on Saturday nights.

I'm also naming more "popular" or "theme" places. If I wanted a really good steak, I'd go to a more a upscale place. But most of the time I can go to an Outback/Longhorn and it's "okay" but if I had to take someone out for a good steak, I'd take them somewhere else.

Just don't get steak at Applebee's. It's good, but it has the oddest texture. My family has come to call them ''Rubber Steaks" because of it.

Some good selections in this thread so far.

I still have to try alot of the restaurants in Maryland I didn't have access too in Backwoods, Podunk, Alabama. :(

This place has fantastic seafood. I've only eat their once and from the samplings I had on all 4 of the plates at the table everything was utterly fantastic, from the most simple crab cake to scallops to tilapia to anything you could possibly thing of, I'm sure this place makes it all fantastically.

I just recently moved to WA from NJ and ate at a Claim Jumper for the first time not long after moving, and oh my god was it the worst food I've ever eaten out. It was utterly disgusting.

On the other hand, if you are ever in Redmond, WA and want some italian food, Tropea is the best I've ever had.

There is an amazing japanese/sushi place in NYC called Choshi near Gramercy park. They have the best gyoza and this salad with raw salmon on top and a delicious dressing.

And Hamilton Sq., NJ is home to the best pizza/tomato pie in the country, Delorenzo's.

My favorite cheeseburger joint is non other than Cheeburger Cheeburger http://cheeburger.com/home2/index.asp

That place is near the top of my "worst cheeseburger I've ever had" list.

Ha, don't even mention "steak" and "Applebee's" in the same sentence around Spoons :o

You need to go to all of the restaurants I listed!

My favorite place is probably an italian restaurant called Marchetti's. Italian food is the best although i think my favorite food is steak. Fillet Mignon to be exact. You cant beat a good burger though!..now i want a nice juicy burger.

catfish Parlor in Austin
or
this family run italian restaurant in my home town called Milanos, really great there.

They are the lowest of the rung when it comes to ''steak" at a restaruant.

I prefer to make steaks at home anyways.

Dude, this was the worst steak I'd ever had EVER. I was almost tempted to order a cheeseburger after suffering through that thing.

What was wrong? Was it the texture or the flavor? Cause like I said I know they have this kinda of plastic texture that doesn't feel like you are eating real food.

There was more fat than meat on it, for one. I guess the actual meat parts tasted ok, but they were so infrequent that it didn't even matter.

TGI Fridays.

Jack Daniels ribs, chunky chips, barbeque beans and onion rings. Can't beat it.

Or this Indian place in my old home town called Kosthuree. Does the greatest Chicken Madras evah!!!!

I never order steak at Chillis, Applebees, TGIF etc. You should only order it from an actual steak place.

Eh. Sometimes you can luck out and get a good steak at a place that's not a steak place.

I've found Italian restaurants and Seafood restaurants are usually your best shots at getting a steak at a restaurant that's not specifically a steak place.

I mean in terms of theme restaurants.

When I was on holiday in Lanzarote a few years back we went to this Argentinian restaurant. Nice, cosy little place. Probably the best steak I've ever had in there.

And I went to this proper upper class place in New York a few years ago called Ben Bensons. Anyone ever heard of that? I'm sure it was a mafia run place. They did a beautiful T Bone in there.
