Searching the forums led me to a few previous iterations of this poll, one for each of the past three years to be exact. Since I'm not one to buck tradition, here is an updated poll for 2010 and I've linked the past versions below should you wish to compare.

Inglourious Basterdds is undoubtedly his finest film.

In order from most favorite to least favorite...

1. Inglourious Basterds
2. Pulp Fiction
3. Jackie Brown
4. Kill Bill
5. Reservoir Dogs
6. Death Proof

Kill Bill I count as one film and it might switch places with Dogs, not sure, i've just seen Dogs so many times I got burnt out on it for awhile.

Reservoir Dogs is the one I've watched and enjoyed the most. As for best film I'd say Inglorious Basterds is the best display of his skills as a director.

#1 Pulp Fiction - no reason nor introduction necessary.

And people are always surprised by this, but Jackie Brown is my #2 favorite Tarantino Film. I love it because its the most different of all of Tarantino's films. No gratuitous violence nor any did it have much action, but it was still a very intriguing and interesting film. Like all of Tarantino's films the character were intriguingg, but in terms of female leads in Tarantino, Pam Grier takes the cake for me.

#3 Kill Bill - Like Figs, I also count this as one film (mainly because when I first saw it, I saw it back to back on DVDs. On a seperate note I plan to do the same thing with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and count it as one film). Anyway, I Uma Thurman is just f**king great in every scene and this is probably the most genre-blending of all films. It was hard for me to pick between this and Inglorious Basterds for #3, but I felt Kill Bill was a deeper story clouded in more mystery. If you disagree, then that fine, but I probably feel this way because of the Basterds themselves.

#4 Inglorious Basterds - I explained some of it above. The characters may have been deeper in Kill Bill, but Inglorious Basterds I felt had more and better themes to its story than Kill Bill.

#5 Resevoir Dogs - Its a great film, no doubt, but I feel as though the only reason its put so highly on people's lists was purely on the lack of heist scene. This is one of the great debuts ever, but Taratino improved with time and made better films. Still, I really liked this too.

All great films and now the only one I didn't like:

#6 Death Proof - I'm not really into B-movies so I didn't like this film. I know he made DP to be crappy-looking on purpose so I'll cut him some slack.

Inglorious Basterds is the most glorious thing that ever sprung from the man's mad head. There is no other movie like it in existence, and you might call it the ultimate Tarantino film.

Kill Bill, Vol. 2-- the most underrated film in the history of cinema!!!

****, Inglourious Basterds is indeed his best film, his masterpiece. But I love Pulp Fiction too damn much. So preference over best? Hmm...

Inglourious Basterds, it has definitely grown on me after repeated viewings.

1. Pulp Fiction
2. Reservour Dogs
3. Jackie Brown
4. Inglorious Basterds
5. Kill Bill vol 1
6. Death Proof
7. Kill Bill vol 2

I have only seen IB once, since I gave my dvd away as a last minute Christams present, at the time I thought it was his best since Jackie Brown, so ranked it there.
If Kill Bill was ranked as one movie, i would maybe put it lower, as I think part two meanders far too much, and has a weak ending after a big build up. But part one is very well paced, tight martial arts greatness.
Death Proof I have only seen once, but I liked it a lot, there will be days I will enjoy DP more than Inglorious Basterds, as DP is a lot of fun, whereas IB, I don't know, it is very good, but it did not blow my mind as much as I wanted it to, and i don't think I could watch it on repeated viewings like the first couple of movies he made. It has great dialoge and moments, but they are not as good as those in RD, PF or JB, it's a movie you have to kind of sit and think about, and his others in this vein were better, I am not sure if it will stand up to repeated viewings with me so much. Like, I am not that bothered about giving my dvd away so far.
But, if I had Death Proof here, i would bang it on right now, it's a fun, dumb movie with great tunes, female attitude, stunts and has the unique feel of trying to be a movie of the past.
**** it, Death Proof is better than Inglorious Basterds, there I said it, but i can't be arsed going back and changing my rankings, lol.

edit:

1. RD
2. PF
3. JB
4. DP
5. IB
6. KB(if taken as one movie)

but i really need to see both movie more than once.

I considered making Kill Bill one choice on the poll, then changed it at the last minute, reasoning that a vote for either is still ultimately a vote for Kill Bill, while allowing those who prefer to distinguish between the two a chance to do so.

Reservoir Dogs. It just does it for me.

It doesn't get better than Pulp Fiction.

pulp fiction easily. Hell, the entire scene where jackson and travolta go to brett's apartment makes PF the best film under his belt.

What does Marcellus Wallace look like?!?

Looooooool

lol, yeah, the 'What' exchange is awesome in that bit, I don't know, i might prefer the ending with Jules in the Diner having the talk with Tim Roth though.

But my favourite bit of the movie is non-dialogue, when Butch goes back for Marsellus, that part just gives me that very cool, warm glow, hairs on the back of your neck standing up buzz that you wait for in ultra cool movies

Figs mentions being burned out on Dogs after seeing it so many times; that's how I feel about Pulp Fiction. I watched that movie a lot during the 90's, and even during the early 00's.

I'd actually rank it pretty low now, maybe even last. I still love it, but I don't know if I'll ever feel the need to watch it again.

My two favorite scenes is the apartment scene and the final restaurant scene.

Kill Bill is my favourite Tarantino film and I have a slight preference for Vol. 1.

Basterds is my favorite. I watch it almost once every month. I watch the rest pretty often too. Reservoir Dogs is a close second.

I rank his films like:

1. Pulp Fiction
2. Inglourious Basterds (very closely following)

3. Kill Bill Vol. 2
4. Resevoir Dogs
5. Kill Bill Vol. 1
6. Jackie Brown

7. Death Proof

....With that said, I enjoy IB the best so I voted for that.
