The Dark Knight Favourite Joker Moments ( spoilers, no tags will be used)

can someone tell me what he says to harvey in the hospital and what the storeys of his scars are please

the Joker for a youtube generation was one of the least impressive aspects for me. I know he was always a media ****e but still it felt kind of out of place and contrived. not a big deal at all though.

I liked the facial matrix over his face on Batmans computer. Like in Killing Joke when he's staring at the screens thinking "who are you?" In TDK he's trying to match his facial structure to a database I guess. Silly Batman :joker:

yeah I really liked that too, and they way he talked about them, it seemed like he actually believed that each story he told was true

I dunno if this has been address, but they were all true - All three of them were from his origins in the comic books

I loved it when, after the truck chase and his goon gets electrocuted trying to take Batman's mask off, the Joker stands over his goon and mimics him flopping and twitching before turning his attention to Batman.

seems like some of you are just selecting their fav Joker scenes from tv spots/trailers or just copying people that have seen the film.

my god, every joker scene was awesome, he delivered such a dark tone, yet comedic that even i laughed.

his little two-step before he lunges on Batman at the end. he kind of dances sideways like he's judging the moment or hyping himself up. very manic. looks cool as hell

okay what three are you talking about?

1.abusive dad
2.cut girlfriend/ self inflicted razor in the mouth

what else? or are you including the line in the interrogation scene as well?

I love pretty much everything that's already been mentioned, Heath was fantastic, the pencil (I cringed), the nurse outfit, the giddy insanity ... AMAZING.

I loved when he meets with all the mob bosses and he's asked if he thinks he can just walk in there after stealing all their money and he replies "...yes", like it's the most natural thing in the world. He really was a lot more playful than I was expecting him to be. How can one man be so funny, yet stil sososo scary.

i know, there were only two stories. and i hated how batman just kinda got stupid and crashed into the pole.

He did so since he has one rule, no killing people. He couldn't kill the joker as much as he wanted to. :hoboj:

I think Joker started to say the third story when he was fighting Batman, but didn't get it out.

I loved how he taunted the gangsters at the beginning with the grenades. And how he gently tugged on the string on his way out. That cracked me up.

#1 definitevely when he blows up the hospital... the way he was just pressing the button and the main bomb doesn't go off, keeps pushing and then bomb, and he runs off camera. 100% Joker.

#2 the magic trick. I kept sayin "TA-DAAAAA" all night long :)

I agree running around in that outfit at the end there was money!

Jeebus. It's be easier for me to come up with a Joker moment that wasn't a favorite ...and I'm not sure there'd by that many of those. :funny:
  • The pencil trick - It wasn't what I thought it'd be; it was much better and sinister.
  • The last scene betweeen he and Batman, particularly when he mentions that they're destined to do this for a lifetime. Excellent presentation of their relationship.
  • Joker leaving the hospital and his mannerisms as it was blowing up. In fact, that whole scene from the time 'Nurse Joker' showed up was hysterical (speech to Harvey and all).
  • Responding to the claims of his being crazy; "No, I'm not. ...I'm not". Subtle, but I couldn't stop grinning until several moments afterward.
  • "I want my phone call." :lmao:
I could keep going and duly so. 12:01 Friday morning needs to get here fast, so I can revel in it all again.

The body bag scene was great, there weren't any scenes where you didn't believe that this guy was nuts but at the same time a genius.

i read on the first page that the joker had a wife!!!! surely not!!! what does he say to batman in the final scene?

I would have to say that those are my favorite scenes as well.

I loved the part when he is walking out of the hospital. That was so cool.

Also, a question to all. When the fake Batman hit the window on the mayor's office did you jump in your seat? I did. :yay:

One thing when you watch a movie, you say oh that's Christian Bale playing Batman.

It was not like this with the Joker. I never once thought that oh, thats Heath Ledger as the Joker. I only thought of that person as the Joker.

That is just how well he played the character.

I nearly jumped OUT of my seat. My god, that was scary.

Yeah I was totally not expecting that.

I had completely forgotten that was going to happen in the movie.

I loved all the scenes... which is amazing if you think about it, to enjoy every single second an actor is on-screen.

One of my favorite moments was at the end when the Joker started whaling on Batman with a pipe/crowbar whatever it was a la Jason Todd. The way he went at it just made me smile (which seems so wrong). I loved how he has no training in fighting techniques like Bruce, and yet he could still hold his own. I can't wait to see it again!
