The Dark Knight Just got back from the advanced showing, no spoilers what so ever

Yeah ;) I work not too far from Wyong and my band plays the Grand pretty regularly.

I guess you were one of the lucky ones to get the secret show tickets. That comp was weird. I missed out, yet my mate who RSVPed about 2 minutes after me got in! Can't say I was too happy, but I'm seeing it tomorrow night so I'll live!

I live in Adelaide now, I was living in... Get ready for the most stupid town name ever... Watannobi. LOL

I was just at the Australian premiere. I can't really give a review because im seriously lost for words at the moment. Its just... crazy. In an extremely good way. All I can think of is how did it actually manage to live up to the hype.

My thoughts exactly ;)

I think it exceeded the hype if anything

Got a couple of friends there, and yes, we still give them a hard time about it. :hehe:

25 hours to go for me. Will post a review of some sorts definitely!

I think my question was lost in the shuffle...reposting it, hoping some kind soul will answer. Not looking for spoilers, just reassurance:

I don't want details, but can someone tell me that the Mike Engels character is not as intrusive and crammed in as the Robert Wuhl character in B89 or the annoying reporter in Returns?

Best piece of dialogue since Apocalypse Now? Hell, I can't wait to see/hear it!

I don't really know how to answer the question, he wasn't in it for too long, but it wasn't crammed or anything like that either. He seemed like a real journalist/reporter

That pretty much puts my fears to rest. Too many movies have used peripheral journalist characters in really annoying ways, and given that two Batman films in the past had done that, I was concerned.

Thanks!

This is something I have been wonderng. Is there any point (please don't be specific, a simple yes or no will do) where the audience actually laughed at something The Joker said?

nathan,
i appreciate you coming back to answer all our questions...and as for mine i assumed everyone had seen the IAL IMAX Prologue which was of the opening bank heist but I guess we all weren't so lucky ;) I guess I should just hold off...only 2 1/2 days!

I think,.......I think I'm crying from exitment??..........hummm.

On that day that you gather your children around to tell them day that you saw a movie I hope they kick you in the nuts for wasting their time. :)

Why was Nathan banned

BTW, Nate, if you're reading this, I'm glad you enjoyed the film. I will say this. My hype level for this movie is right up into the stratosphere right now!

He's not shoehorned at all, he's used sparingly and effectively, in different ways, throughout major stages of the film

ha ha. definitely :joker:

I'm just hoping that The Dark Knight eclipses the latest Indy movie because everyone was saying Indy 4 would be the top movie of the Summer.

Just got back and it is everything that people have been saying. Will post a full review tomorrow morning as it is 12.30am and I need sleep!

Hey Guys,

I just joined but have been coming to the Hype for Years!! Have been lurking in the Non-Spoiler Threads for fear of finding out to much.

Ok, Enough of that.

Thanks to the thread starter for the Awesome review without ruining the movie for all us.

Seeing it tonight :) can't wait, anyway

This blows monkey chunks! I'm stuck in Germany right now and I won't be able to see the Dark Knight until August when I get back. I'm hating every moment of it right now.
