Iron Man Favreau confirms runtime

IMDb also said Rosemary Harris was going to be Aunt May and Carnagewas in the Spider-man 3 movie.

Eh, some dude sent that info there. It wasn't the IMDb staff themselves. Though they processed that into the site. It could be possible that the update system is automated, not people operated.

Around two hours is good enough, I just pray that this movie is as good as the trailers let on.

I'm still debating on whether or not I'll actually go see the movie but I just might, it seems like it's going to be good.

lol all signals are pointing out for this to better than hulk. But still hulk will be awesome too.

I think every cb movie these days should aim for at least a 1hr 55min runtime, if IM is about that, i'll be happy.

[This should be taken with a grain of salt]

The site for the biggest cinema around here lists the runtime as 1 hour and 50 minutes. I don't know where they get their information, but I'm guessing it's official(ish).

Here's the English site.

Not sure how accurate that is but a 1:50 run time wouldn't make me b@tch and whine.

Sounds like he's dancing around the fact that it's going to be an hour and forty minutes long.

I think X3 is universally scorned as the Poster Child for Way-Too-Short Superhero Movies. But that thing had like a dozen "main" characters; IM should spend nearly all its time introducing us to Tony Stark, so I don't think it needs to be 3 hours long. It sounds like it will comfortably pass X3's 104 minutes, so I'm OK with it.

I thought that title belonged to FF:Rise of the SS?

I've heard the runtime is 115 mins, but I'm not so sure about the source...

I'll be relying on TDK for something more than action this summer.
The first X-Men was 104 minutes long and it was a great film, didn't fell rushed at all
This movie will get a running time between 1:45 to 1:55 which is fine by me
The truth lies within these quotes.

In a perfect world Iron Man's running time would be 110-120 minutes IMO.

The only movie that is going to top Iron Man this summer is TDK.

Come on. It's not about the runtime, or wether or not Iron Man is going to be deep, and BS. It's wether these movies are good or not, and IMO, Iron Man looks awesome, just like The Dark Knight.

Sounds like around 1:50 to 1:55 to me, which is just fine.

Should be perfect, this movie seems like it's going to be fast paced and will have a lot of action.

I don't expect much character development, so under two hours sounds about right. This is Marvel after all. I'll be relying on TDK for something more than action this summer.

Considering Iron Man will be the first movie that Marvel Studio's will release without the influence of other major studios involvement and control over it's outcome, I can't wait to see the angle they come from.

WB owns DC comics, therefore Batman, and has had control over all their super hero movies for some time.

I'm hoping that the movie will be 2 hours to about 2:15 minutes long.

I'm glad is isn't going to be too long. The bad but fun Transformer and the boring and annoying Superman returns were atleast 20 minutes too long for the stories they had to tell. I'm glad it's going to have a Spider-Man like running time, movies are getting far too long for no reason what so ever now or days.

The problem I had with Transformers was that it was an 80's style throwback lack-of-drama-shout-fest and Superman Returns lacked the action that should have been on par with the Matrix: Revolution's Neo-Agent Smith fight. I don't think the length is the big deal, if a well balanced story is there.

I didn't care for anything in that 3rd Matrix film.

I part way agree with you, if the story can handle it then by all means make your movie 8 hrs long but I don't think those movies stories could handle it. And I think that SR had far bigger problems than a lack of fight/action scenes.

Thats all I'm going to say about both of those films because I've gone a bit off topic.
