I just Googled "ICE Racial bias 2018" which turned back 34,000 hits with every single link leading to an actual reputable news organization sourcing their article. (I've linked to that for your convenience as well).

Yup, it's scary similar to the conversation with my father I had about 30 mins ago. I asked him how 6 high ranking administration personnel and/or their associates have already pleaded guilty during this investigation and are cooperating with investigators isn't a red-flag to him.

Which any expert who's ever dealt with NK knew but I guess Cheetoh and his charming wit and magical negotiating abilities somehow were able to compensate?

This is really indicative of Trump as a person. He screwed up... he got too excited and blew all of his leverage. And once that reality sank in and it was apparent that Kim had the upper hand... Trump bailed. He ran. President Trump doesn't fight the fights he thinks he can't win; he's not a fighter. (Not like Obama with healthcare reform for example)

Maybe the meeting still happens, maybe it doesn't... but as long as Trump's pride isn't in jeopardy, it's cool. Backing out is the only way that Trump feels that he can still win.

That being said... I do think that NK will look for a reset. They'll try to reinstate the meeting, and that will give Trump leverage again. Then, he'll be happy. As long as the win is in sight, he's down.

The North Koreans have an inoperable nuclear program at this point... or it seems like it. That's why Kim wants to strike a deal.... he wants to get something for nothing, just like his father did. Do the dance, get sanctions taken off, redevelop the program in secret. Trump would be the perfect president to make this happen, in Kim's mind. No hassle with leagues of dignitaries... just two guys talking at a table. That's exactly what Kim would want.

However, Kim was raised to play tough with the West. Negotiation is a battle, and the more you fight, the more you get. Kim was insulting Pence and saying that he might not do the Summit, because hey... that only gives him more leverage. Not because he didn't want to do it.

Once Trump realized that Kim had the power, Trump bailed. Trump has no interest in being a part of a negotiation in which he doesn't have the power. He's had the power his hole life, and he won't do a deal otherwise. Because... yes, yes.. denuclearization and all that... but the most important thing is that President Big Boy feels like alpha at all times.... alpha big boy.

SO my coworker at work is spewing Trump bs again, and another coworker (who's hispanic) joined her. They're saying how he's not racist because his grandparents and wife are immigrants, that he's good with money because he's a business man, and he's the only president who's done what he said he was gonna do, and that undocumented immigrants should just go get a citizenship (she has no idea of the process)...
