Any vestige of journalistic integrity went out the window when Hannity became bosom buddies with Trump, ie the rally appearance before the Fox News team shows up.

The fact that FOX leans conservative and supports conservative politicians is a selling point to its viewers. Fox News watchers may deny it.. but they know in their hearts that Fox is a safe space for them. Even the catchline, 'Fair and Balanced' is a dog whistle indicating that, "no - all the other journalists are doing it wrong... we purposely veer to the right to give you our take on real news."

So, I don't see how it's a surprise. It's just nice to get it on the record... stuff like this will slowly chop away at their viewers. Little by little, until Fox is seen as so irrelevant, that people start to leave.

I think it is ok to have a news network that leans to the right, even if it is damn near tipping over. The problem with Fox is that is constantly pissing on its so-called conservative values to keep supporting THEIR guys.

Trump is a traitor who has conspired with America's enemies both foreign and domestic, a serial adulterer, a profligate spender, wildly incompetent, a tax cheat, a ****e monger, and a coward who faked an injury to avoid military service. A traditional conservative would have rejected him outright on any one of these character issues.

But to the modern Trump/Fox Republican, the only "values" that matter are:

1) Wealth inequality!
2) White majority/supremacy!
3) Guns!
4) Pwebown Babies!

I meant even more than that. Hosts co-headling rallies, obvious message co-ordinating that goes way beyond just reporting what admin. officials put out via press releases etc.

This is a news organization being tasked with being another arm of policy making and implementation within the Executive branch according to that New Yorker piece.

And Weinstein and Singer weren't running to become the leader of the country. They are scumbags for sure and should have been taken down years ago, and it's disgusting that people who knew about their actions kept quiet (I'm not talking about their victims here, but other people with knowledge of the kinds of people they were). Trump's "presidential library" should be a huge empty building with just one thing in the very middle of the building: the fake Times magazine he displays at his golf courses.

Seriously tho his library will probably just be his "memorabilia" (MAGA hats etc.) and anything he can find that praises him.
