Just as most Republicans have blindly backed Trump...most have blindly also done what Mitch says....so if he tells them to impeach Trump I think most will do it.

He only needs to change about 10-12 minds out of the 40 some that would have otherwise voted against it. The more I think about it, the more I think this may lead to resignation.

Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney, Mitch McConnell. I'll have more faith when more Trump whipping boys back this up.

I'm really focused on the senate. From my guess, I'd say AT LEAST Romney, Collins, Murkowski, Sasse, and Toomey are likely to vote for impeachment. That's off the top of my head. That leaves only 12 more out of the 45 repub senators left who would need to agree to vote him out. I think that's doable and, if so, I think they force Trump to resign a la Nixon. Impeachment would not go forward at that point.
EDIT: Pence promises a pardon.

Trump is so hard headed that Impeachment will be necessary.

There are already 2 confirmed GOP yes's in the House, which is double what he got last time. So, should be interesting to see how it plays out, especially with the treason caucus of 134 Reps who opposed the election certification.

I won't be surprised if they have to drag him kicking and screaming from the White House (impeachment or no impeachment).

He could make a lot of money on PPV off that one. He'd have my $50 for a bird's eye view.

You mean Murkowski and Romney? When I heard Toomey, it seemed pretty clear to me that he would remove him. Sasse stopped short of that, but seemed to be leaning in that direction. Collins said she won't say because she's essentially a juror. If McConnell leans on them, I think she'd furrow her brow, moan about how difficult this is for her, and vote to impeach.....did he learn his lesson Susan?

Impeachment must go forward. He must be barred from running in any future presidential elections. Letting him resign just kicks the can down the road to 2024.

No, Cheney and Katko (R-NY) are confirmed yes's in the House. I consider Amash a Republican, even though he quit before the impeachment vote last time. And from the sounds of it, there are probably more votes in the House from the GOP. There has not been enough to really gauge the Senate. Romney and Murkowski sound like a yes, but we will see how it plays out.

I agree, but I guarantee you they won't convict if he resigns and will call it piling on. BS. He needs to be gone forever.

Impeachment if he doesn't resign is a done deal in the house. I'm not really caring about how many repubs join in; though I have no doubt there will be between 10-20...maybe more. The senate is starting to look really dicey for Trump as far as conviction goes and, after Jan 20 Trump loses all leverage. I think we could see changes on almost a minute by minute basis and resignation might be his best option by a looooooong way.

Big corporations are putting the pressure on to impeach and remove Trump really by pulling the funding plug.

Their nutjob voter base may be mostly against it but rich contributors are bailing out.

Let's be clear. This is a politician's (esp a republican's) worst nightmare.

Such integrity they have. LOL. Serving the people of the United States and all.....
