Is it just me, or can this get repetitive......

Well the whole thing is repetitive.

Since Nov 2019 it's been

Answer the end of this riddle:

What's the difference between Tulsi Gabbard and a complete idiot?

If your answer wins......you can overrule Mod decisions for 1 day.

Complete idiots do it for free.

Tulsi will spread conspiracy theories and stab her party in the back in exchange for either cash or airtime.

If Moscow Mitch wants to play the hard way, then let him. I'm enjoying seeing the Republican Party splinter into two.

Well this hope was short-lived.

**** off, McConnell.

He might still change his mind depending on how things progress. I could see Trump going off the deep end when impeached without any social media.

Mitch is making a mistake.

No matter what the first couple of YEARS of Biden's term was gonna have inquiries and hearings.

If Mitch just got on with it this would be history. Instead it will be a four star opening act.

The GOP think that the majority of the populace is in on the "let us move on" theory they as a party are pushing.

Maybe... But I think people will still want accountability and with the GOP out of power we WILL learn more.

We have had 5 years of gaslighting and justice denied.

The hunger for accountability is real and will have a longer shelf life than the Republicans think.

It's amazing to see all these Republicans wearing masks that they had to wear because of a weak presidency and response to the crisis. Them seeing Trump bring up WEAK arguments about voting frauds. Now, the Republicans are trying to argue that his presidency and response to this particular crisis was anything but weak.

It's like watching the Republicans putting on a clown costume throughout these 4 years and see their final form in the final week of Trump's Presidency.

Gaetz was on twitter talking about how impeachment is a distraction from work Congress needs to do with the pandemic.

Gaetz is famous for going onto the floor of Congress in a gas mask to mock responses to Covid-19.

Now suddenly these *******s care about responding correctly to the virus?

And if we vent our anger we're the bad guys?

Sorry... We can chew gum and walk at the same time Matt.

Give it awhile.

W. Bush was also anointed by God himself too.

The majority in a year will suddenly be all "I always knew he was a criminal/moron".

The dead enders though are activated now. A nice slice of radicalized White Men that are gonna haunt us for a decade.

Let's see how people feel about that next week when these idiots escalate the violence.

‘Undecided on conviction’ is way better than ‘unlikely to convict.’

That being said, I’m still expecting the turtle to disappoint us all and vote no on conviction. There’s no doubt in my mind he’s currently vacillating in his mind whether to impeach or not. He likely needs time to make his decision hence why he’s allowing the senate to reconvene until next week. I hope he makes the right choice, but I’m not ultimately expecting him to. He’s a bad man, but even bad people are capable of doing good things every once in awhile. The odds on him voting to convict I reckon is 50/50 now.

Can someone please settle this for me once and for all.

Let's say the Senate doesn't convene until after Inauguration Day. Trump's term is over. Can they still vote to disqualify him? I thought they could only do that if they vote to remove him first, which they obviously cannot do if he's already out of office.

I'm getting very confused by this.

Equating Black Lives Matter to the Capitol terrorists is violently racist. I stand by that statement as a Black man.

This moment we are in cannot be swept under the rug, with willful ignorance and gaslighting, and nothing seriously changes to make legit progress. There is no unity with fascism and racism. Punish these terrorists - the cult and their leaders in office. The hate, the ignorance, the white privilege, the cult behavior and extremism must be faced head on no matter how ugly it looks and defeated. Otherwise, democracy will be challenged in perpetuity with more Americans dying violently.

I'd also like an answer on this bc I believe someone basically said that if the Senate vote is punted until after inauguration, it will be put forth in a Democrat-controlled chamber now that Warnock and Ossoff are there, and it passing as well as him being barred from ever holding public office again is more likely. Is this true?

If true, that could be McConnell's goal. Let the Democrats convict and purge Trump for him.

Only 7 Republicans have voted yes so far compared to 175 who voted no. Disgraceful after all that happened.
