i'm sorry..I WANT TO BANG THE DAUGHTER EVEN MORE

I can't see the point the Cobalt order has. Is it a last ditch effort to have fewer infected?

To be fair, they were going into a close quarters apartment complex, which is super easy to get flanked by zombies with multiple corners and doors. Let alone these solders are ill equipped when it comes to dark rooms minus their flashlights. Once they see their buddies getting bit and dying, it's very easy to panic.

My brother kept pointing out throughout the episode how badly prepared and equipped the military was. He was in the Army, and kept pointing it out how it was somewhat like the Battle of Yonkers in WWZ. The military had all the wrong gear (way too much, he pointed out, even if they didn't really know what they were dealing with exactly), and the weapons were absurdly powerful for the situation.

I'm kind of glad we saw more from the military guys side in this episode, and had more of a feeling that they were as scared and panicked and left hanging as the people were, but were putting up the tough front to hide that fact. The average soldier therefor isn't quite the mustache twirling evil guy that the last episode made us think they would become.

The cobalt order did confuse me. The military is evacuating, and they are supposed to humanely euthanize..who? I missed that. Was it the infected/quarantined people at the base? Everyone in the safe zone with some kinda huge bomb? It would make sense that they need to put down everyone infected and supposedly infected back at the base, but if they're leaving the survivors in the safe zone, then, while it's bad that they're being left out to dry, it's not as terrible as slaughtering them all because reasons.

I'm curious why there was such an emphasis last episode on the military going around the city and killing all survivors they ran across, though. I kept saying in the lead up to this episode that I hope we get a reason for that, even if it isn't a great one, just to give some justification to it. Like if everyone was infected, they're clearing the land from any potential walkers...but doesn't look like we're going to get a reason for the killing of innocent survivors.

Anywhoo, next episode looks like we're getting some major walker action, so I'm looking forward to how it ends.

I'm watching the beginning of the new episode and I'm not sure who had the idea to make a zombie show in Los Angeles and set almost every episode in a house in the suburbs.

I am halfway through the episode and I have to come to the conclusion that I would have preferred a series set around the military during the beginning of the zombie apocalypse.

For those who are confused, I believe Operation Cobalt involved killing those under quarantine, which means Nick et al, and abandoning those who still remain in the suburb. At least that's what it sounded like to me. I can't see the point in killing healthy civilians.

I'll bet this isn't the last we've heard of evil army leader.

I can't tell what to make of Strand (black con artist) yet. He's really smarmy but I can see him either being fundamentally decent, just doing what he must to survive, or a true monster.

I know it's popular to sneer at Travis but I feel for the guy. He's basically pacifistic and it'll be a long time until he can adapt to the new society he's in.

The only people I'd be cool with losing at this point are Alicia and Chris. Everyone else brings something to the table.

I thought the military plan included only killing those who were being held. But I don't recall, but I thought that too. I will need to see that scene again

It would be cool to see military cliques going at it. Once there's no more US, what are American soldiers?

Wished we could have seen the carnage in the library. They went in with almost a full platoon to aid another squad already in there and only 3 made it out! That's just wrong.

Me too. I'm betting budget had a lot to do with why we didn't see much.

Also I bet the soldiers that escaped left Moyers for dead. They were acting suspicious as well as being very vague when Travis asked about Moyers.

I think the budget was part of it but also the ridiculousness of that many trained and armed soldiers getting eaten by zombies where they should have been able to clear the place.

Without seeing just how it happened they don't have to explain it.

I wonder if we'll be seeing the military airstrikes that Shane & Laurie witnessed after the ground forces evac the city.

Sweeny Salazar The Demon Barber of Los Angeles!

I liked the slick salesman guy. The character seemed a little out of place in the show but he looked interesting.

Travis hasn't still hasn't reached the point of realizing what the world has become like his ex-wife Liza and girlfriend Madison has.

My bet is that they fragged him.

Been on holiday so catching up with this, have liked the first 2 episodes so far but some characters are doing dumb **** already.

The suit guy that made Johnny Depp Jr. his ***** has an awesome silky smooth voice. I could listen to him prattle on all day long.

Fear the Walking Dead just feels so damn bland. None of the characters really grab the viewer or pull them in. It is not even bad. It is just like I said, bland.
