Infinity War Feats & Power Displays in Avengers: Infinity War

One of my favorite moments in the Wakanda battle was Cap and Panther sprinting side by side leaving everyone in the dust and jumping into battle.

Thanos chopping Hulk in the throat.

Yea it's not really a power feat... but they've all been listed now. But that chop really impressed me because it shows the film makers KNOW Thanos. People seem to forget he is also a master martial artist who specialises in pressure point attacks etc.

No lie, I was thinking the same thing I'm glad they didn't just make Thanos a haymaker throwing brute he was SKILLED.

That's what I loved about Thor's gladiator fight with Hulk in Ragnarok, it showed Thor's hand to hand fighting skills (as did his Shield fight in Thor 1).

Doctor Strange channeling his inner Naruto/ Agent Smith and cloning himself before attacking Thanos all at once.

That was brutal and painful to watch. Thanos totally owned Hulk. Makes you understand why...
Hulk was like a scared little child later.

Thanos had multiple crazy feats throughout.

From the heroes, Thor, Strange, Scarlet Witch and Stark had the most and I liked seeing War Machine's arsenal unleashed.

From Heroes:
-Thor managing to restart the Solar Forge with pure brute strength and durability. Amazing strength to start up a planet sized object is required. Suprised they displayed that level of power from Thor before they did Hulk.

-Thor surviving being the olive in a martini of pure harnessed star energy. Him not immediately being disintegrated and stripped of his skin is a miracle in itself. High display of durability.

-Banner surviving the New York battle with barely a scratch. I swear at some point a ca and some trees landed in him and he was almost unscathed. Prolly lil Hulk helping there but still. Honorable mention of durability. :funny:

-Spidey stopping Culls hammer

-Spidey actually putting the beats on Thanks and making him stumble.

-Iron Man making Thanos take a knee and bleed.

-Iron Man dropping a giant-man sized chunk of the ship on Thanos

-Hulk actually pushing Thanks back. (I'll give it to the big guy he's clearly embarrassed)

-Scarlet Witch pushing those giant razor wheel things off the ground.

-Thor's area clear.

-Panther knocking Cull back.

-Strange actually putting up a challenge to Thanos without once using the Time Stone.

-Drax being able to hold Thanos down.

-Cap actually surviving his meetin with Thanos.

-Widow putting up a fight against Proxima (trust me based on comics that should be a feat)

-Thor's hammer literally being unfazed by the Gauntlet and still striking Thanos.

Those are all the feats of strength I can think of. I wouldn't count anything from War Machine or Falcon because they were just mowing down baddies with weapons like they always do. Same for Bucky as well. I can't count Vision, he practically got his honey handed to him the entire film. And no one else involved is relevant enough to list in terms feats and power displays.

As for the Villains:

-Thanos breaking the Hulk down with his fists(btw to clarify this dies not make Hulk weaker, it just means Thanos is a better fighter and was able to get the upperhand and incapacitated Hulk before Hulk could do damage. He's assessed the threat was strong and disabled it before it could become a problem a massive display of not only strength but strategic ability. Had to get that off my chest lol)

-Thanos beating Iron faster than his fancy new suit could come up with ways to save him.

-Thanos beating Thor within an inch of his life.

-Thanos healing from having anitem that defied the infinity stones blast planted in his chest.

-Thanos in general was just a power house tbh.

-Cull Obsidian nearly wrecking Iron Man.

-Ebony Maw wrecking Strange.

-Cull Obsidian nearly wrecking the Hulk-Buster.

-Glaive taking down Vision everytime he came into contact with him with little to no effort. Vision was really being embarrassed in this film.

Hulk was definitely weaker than Thanos. He was KO'd with a neck chop, then 11 punches. I dont think 11 Hulk level punches could KO Hulk, seeing as Hulkbuster didn't after about 30.

Plus, Hulk had Thanos pinned, and was choking him and had a weight distributed angle. Thanos than pulled Hulk's hands off his neck. Hulk was absolutely weaker

Everything with Thor, specially when he was at the forge: both the most impressive feats of strength and durability/toughness in the MCU!

Spidey, Iron Man and Strange against Thanos was awesome too!

If I remember correctly Eitri (Peter Dinklage) said that Thor will have to take the full force of a Neutron Star.

So if that's the case, Thor took more than just heat and radiation he resisted some of the actual weight of the star. I say this because after he let go off those handles he was blasted away with extreme concussive force. So that would make it a strength feat (holding onto the the levers despite the force) as well as a durability feat (heat, radiation, and weight/force resistance).

Yeah, that may be true! Nonetheless, I didn't see any feat in the MCU comparable to this one!

I'm not sure if I remember it right, but I think Okoye threw a charged spear to Thanos in the end.

I thought it was just an ordinary Vibranium weapon, but I guess the tech of it has some tricks up it sleeves.

I noticed that and it was awesome, I'm sorry but even with Okoye's limited screentime I prefer her over Black Widow..

I've always been a BW fan, but I have to say Okoye is a sight to behold.

I love Cap intro catching the spear in mid air, stepping out of the shadows and facing off against Proxima Midnight. the display of his fighting technic is more aggressive and close combat. Also his speed when he ran up past t-chala in wakanda was badass. My highlight was definately his stand-off with Thanos!

Yes it is, the whole forge scene is the biggest strength and durability feat in the MCU.

Breakdown

- Strength: Slinging Rocket's Spacecraft literally thousands of meters, maybe even several miles as it was a dwarf planet. Even threw it with enough force to help move part of the forge (wow).

- Strength: Resisting the thrusters of Rocket's spacecraft as the anchor for moving a colossal part of the forge. While he was resisting the spacecraft's thrusters he was crushing the forge metal with his feet.

- Strength: Opening the door for the star using pure strength since the titantic mechanisms didn't work, he did it's job for it (wow)

- Strength: Holding onto the levers of the star gate while resisting the force and weight of a Neutron Star (or atleast some of it).

- Durability: Surviving in space unaided

- Durability: Being dragged against the surface of the forge after throwing Rocket's spacecraft and not showing ANY being completely unscathed.

- Durability: Surviving the heat, force/weight, and radiation of a Neutron Star for several minutes.

One great feat that hasn't yet been mentioned was Mantis nearly knocking out Thanos on Titan. At least one poster questioned her value after seeing clips of her standing alongside Drax, Spidey and Tony. She almost got him. (Stupid Star-Lord!)

Did Cap outrun Panther? It seemed to me they were about even.

Thor's IW outfit looks almost exactly like Ultimate Thor outfit minus the chain mail arms, even Stormbreaker looks like Ultimate Mjolnir.

As a matter of fact Thor's actions scenes in Wakanda as a whole reminded me of Thor's cutscenes in Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

Everything Thanos is incredible but obviously the finger snap then going to rest in his cabin, just how great is this villain?

And thor actually "beating" Thanos, which means when he uses storm bringer he can actually beat him, even with all stones. Then again, Thanos could have killed thor if the finger snap happened to choose thor as one of those 50/50 deaths. Guess he lucked out.

My favorite fight of the movie is Thanos vs Hulk, that was incredible, it showed Thanos has actual fighting skill, he just whooped his ass. Was he using power from the power stone here? Or was this base thanos? How would Thanos fare vs Hulk without the gaunglet?

Not exactly a power display, but I just have to say that I had goosebumps all over when everybody was doing the battle chants (YIBAMBE!) and formations, in preparation for the final battle.

The moment the camera zoomed in on Black Panther in which he crossed his arms and exalted, "WAKANDA FOREVAH!", I just lost it. OMG.

I'm glad Thor got his comeback after that brutal opening. Easily taking down ships and killing a full 6 stone powered beam with Stormbreaker. Captain Marvel has her work cut out for her if she wants to claim the "most powerful Avenger" title they're touting.

Thor is ridiculous. He got the crap kicked out of him by Thanos, then left on the ship which blows up, leaving him in space until he gets hit by another ship. Then he goes and gets blasted by a star. How do you kill him? LOL

Also we didn't see Thanos fight Thor, he could've even ambushed him with The Black Order.

Yeah MCU Thor is a tough SOB, second only to DCEU Superman in terms of durability (maybe even equal).

Straight up, Thor is OP and any more powerful than him would be utterly ridiculous but I'm prepared for it.
