I've read that the promoters for the first UFC tournament tried to get WCW to allow Meng to fight in order to represent "professional wrestling" (since the idea was that they were trying to figure out which fighting style/martial art was most dominant, even though it was really to prove that Gracie jiu jistu was the best). It would be interesting to see how he would have done. He probably would have murdered some of the guys they had in UFC 2.

Holy crap! I had no idea that's who that was! I just pulled that up to watch. I have watched that fight before and always got a kick out of the goofy stuff like that that went on in Pride, but I guess I didn't know who Del Rio was when I first saw that.

Del Rio is not only trained in MMA, but he actually has a 9-5 record in it. He once fought Mirko Cro Cop in Pride. It... did not go well.

Yeah, they let Del Rio wear the mask.

Cool to see Becky Lynch moving up the WWE ladder, after she's been in the industry for a fairly long time compared to the other "rookie" divas. She was a regular in the Pacific Northwest/British Columbia indy scene for a couple of years, but I always missed the chance to see her wrestle.

I need to see more of her matches, but from what I've seen, she is pretty and pretty damn good(). She was trained by Prince Devitt and some of his moves are in her moveset too.

She's really good from what I've seen. WWE is doing a much better job at acquiring good female talent now.
