Exactly, it smacks of desperation and an attempt to change the narrative, each party can nominate whomever they want, there have been several conventions were it wasnt clear who the nominee was, even after primaries, to say this isnt democratic, especially from a guy who helped organize the january 6th insurrention is laughable and pathetic, it falls in line with republicans still accusing democrats of destroying america, which is the worst kind of projecting. I got into it with a maga on instagram, the topic was the maga meltdown and he was like there isnt one, its all fake, he isnt seeing it, which as i told him is just him projecting, trying to pretend democrats arent doing well and republicans are fine, he just wants to cover his eyes and pretend things havent swung momentum to the democrats and instead of admitting it he has been combative with numorous responders, so i wished him well and blocked him, some people refuse to see anything other than what they want to see.

Its this twisted logic that currently controls the republican party and their followers, basically, everything we do is right and just, we are making america strong, the democrats are wrong, stupid poopie heads that are trying to destroy amercia. This is what you get when you elect people who arent interested in governing, and bipartisan efforts, its us vs. them and one has to win no matter what, dont mind the project 2025 that says every freedom you have will be gone, replaced by our idea of freedom, nothing to see here.

I’m convinced that when Trump was put forth as the nominee and was elected back in 2016, these Conservatives’ views and morals and need for their worldviews to be perfectly fulfilled was so great that when they latched onto Donald Trump, their brain chemistry was so fundamentally altered by that decision that they quite literally can’t accept any truth or logic that runs contrary to what they believe to be true and right, regardless of how irrational and illogical that thinking is.

They’re captives and prisoners to their own brains and thinking. It’s honestly quite sad.
