Fights?

The fights should be brutal yes but not taking reference from any movie.Wolverine should have a completely unique fighting style, an it should look ambiguious as something that he would come up with but only by reflex. But if I had to take reference well maybe casino royale would be a good point to start from. I wanna see wolverine going berserk not like in the x-men films but more brutal and animal like. But the only way is to go with an r-rating which I doubt the hacks at fox would aprove.

I wanna see logan all bloody in pain going berserk and taking on a group of armed thugs maybe spies KGB? Mercenaries? I don't care I want to see logan slicing limbs and being able to see it on camera without cutting to fast but no stylish slo-mo either.

Everyone keeps saying we need an R rating, and I don't think so. Casino Royale had very brutal fight scenes and it was PG-13. Over stylized gore doesn't really add much to a fight, it just gives it more blood, and in many cases it makes the fights more campy and less realistic.

But yes, I think Casino Royale style fights would be perfect. In the other X-men movies Wolverine didn't have any style, he was just a brawler. Wolverine has been fighting for over 80 years and knows many different forms of martial arts. When he fights we should get the feeling that this guy knows his stuff, he's not just a brawler with claws and a healing factor.

I hope he can actually fight in this one. He got his ass kicked in the 3 x-men movie.

I couldn't agree more. Wolverine really has become pretty outrageous. If someone dropped a nuclear weapon fifty yards away from Wolverine he would be dandy two hours later. They really should add some drama.

I don't know about that... It's mentioned here that he was knocked-out by Sabretooth [ for plotting purposes perhaps] and was again knocked-out by being shot with a handgun to the forehead in X2 when they were to be arrested outside of Iceman's home [again for plotting purposes perhaps so the others can show off their powers. :cwink: ]

So he's not that powerful. Ok, Wolvie's got fast healing powers, adam-anthium claws and skeleton, enhanced senses BUT he doesn't have super-strength[at least not in the X-men movies, I don't think he can even jump very high]. So he's got limits -- put him in an adam-anthium cage, or bound him with adam-anthium chains, what the hell's he gonna do? I also remember in Ultimate X-men, he was shot by machine gun fire from a helicopter and he was out cold and had to be saved by the rest of the X-men. I think he recovered in the morning. He didn't recover quickly that time because his healing power was exhausted of healing his earlier wounds and injuries in that story. So I think in his potential movie, his weakness can be like this -- his healing factor is exhausted by healing too many major wounds inflicted on by his enemy/ies and slowly passes out.

There can be drama you know, it just depends on how good the directors and writers are. Let's hope they will be! :whatever:

And back to the point, like others said here -- lots of ninja foes. Logan should also show off some of the martial arts [ala UFC fighting-styles too] he learned in the past even though he has some memory problems but it could be instincts. I also wanna see blood, guts, limbs being slashed and diced! After all, he's Wovlerine -- the best at what he does but what he does is very brutal and bloody. :hyper: Yeah, they should follow some tips from Casino Royale and other movies with spectacular fighting scenes.

I have been reading everyone's comments concerning the fights and all i can say (for now:cmad: ) is the fights WILL be brutal, stylized and will take advantage of many aspects concerning Wolverine/Logan. I should be able to give more details in the next 4-5 mths:huh: ...BUT u will see wolverine's "BERSERKER" rage in full effect at the right time!!! :cwink:
Thanks I guess
