After seeing the movie you can now tell that there were different takes shot from the ones we saw in the trailers, I was wondering as great as the scenes were, were there any takes shown in the trailers that you like a little bit more than what we got in the movie itself?

the burning of the money scene where the camera is backed up farther.
when the joker shoots the rpg and flinches

cant think of anything else atm

actually the joker flinch scene is in there right before the tumbler jumps in front of the swat truck, blink and you miss it

I like that *licks lips*

That's the only one I thought was better that wasn't in the film. Also, I would have liked to see the 'You'll see, I'll show ya,' but they cut out the 'I'll show ya' bit :(

never mind though :)

^they actually cut out the 'you'll see'

It's pretty amazing how so many scenes in the trailer are alternates.

I actually prefered most of Heath's 'trailer' shots. I guess they're all more over-the-top and 'stand out' more, so Nolan went for more subtle performances that blended into the rest of the film. But as mentioned above, I really prefered the 'I like that' and 'You'll see, I'll show ya' lines in the trailer.

I believe The Joker says "I love this job" in the TV spot, but "I like this job" in the film.

An odd change... I think I prefer the TV Spot version... since - The Joker likes his job more in that one, and who doesn't want the best for the Joker? :woot:

Same here. In the 7 times I have seen it, no one has laughed at that and I couldn't help but think that if Nolan had kept the "I Love This Job" that would have generated more laughs, not that it's needed, but it's just funnier and a better choice all around, at least in my opinion.

I really wanted the 'Kill The Batman' line from the trailer. :csad:

I knew that what he said in he trailer and what was on the film was off.

In the movie all he stated was their(mob) problem was the Batman..or crap...might have to see it again just to verify that trailer....:woot:

I noticed that change - I actually prefer the one we got. He makes it sound so simple and straightforward :D

True, it was still superb. There was just something about that look he gave on the trailer one.

I think they only changed Joker shots didn't they? Can't remember, it was too goddamn long!

Yeh, I loved the way he flicked his eyes up after saying it.

On a more generalised note, does anyone remember the report about how Nolan was filming scenes with Harvey/Two-Face twice, with a light and dark take so he could mix it up during editing? Well, I didn't notice it so much with Harvey/Two-face. If you look at the trailers and then watch the film, notice how Joker's different takes seem like this: normally the tone is different in the various takes we've seen different versions of. Probably so Nolan could give us a more balanced performance to sit in line with the rest of the film.

I'm impressed

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the "I'm counting on it" and "Where is he!?" Batman utters in the TV Spot and trailer are the same as the movie versions.

i liked the movie joker but the way he was portrayed in the trailers was phenomenal- "i like that" - blew me away the first time i saw the trailer!

The shot of the Joker from behind, drawing his knife and walking with a limp towards the crashed Batpod should have been in the final cut. In the movie, it just shows him from the front.

I remember there was a different shot of Batman landing on the van, that looked a little more iconic to me, but I guess it made too obvious that the van was standing...

WHY wasn't this in the movie??

Joker-Tosses-knife.gif

it was like the coolest scene! it's in it but just of the joker jumping around

i have no idea why that wasnt there!!! but when the joker jumps around LMAO that was great. :D

It was there. It happens right before that other guy tries to take off Batman's mask and gets shocked.

all the joker's laugh I thought were better in the trailer, but I was glad that the laugh in the trailer when he pushes rachel made it in, but obviously it was a different part
