and yeah........I'm getting worried that we won't see versus until the next gen of consoles........

but at this point, I find myself more excited about the HD remake of X than anything XIII related........

I still enjoyed it. It started the linearity trend, but there was still tons of stuff to do and you could actually still travel from location to location and revisit them. And it introduced one of my favorite summons. Yojimbo.

I have two theories as to why Square is taking so long and being so quiet on Versus.

Theory 1: They made it a multiplatform title and started working on a 360 port and/or perhaps a Wii U version
Theory 2: They moved it to the next generation.

I really hope neither is true.........

heck, one of the main reasons why I bought a PS3 a few years back is because of Versus being an "upcoming" PS3 exclusive.

Haven't they been quite about it, because they took the manpower to work on other titles? I really hope now that they got XIII out of their system (there better not be a XIII-3 ) that they'll focus on finishing Versus.

because of my pride!! Versus is supposed to be a PS3 exclusive!! I didn't buy a PS3 for nothing!!

actually, I don't really mind it going multiplatform. it's just that, if it goes multiplatform, then one or both of the ports my suffer in terms of quality.

with XIII, it was supposed to be a PS3 exclusive initially. so it was initially designed for the PS3 hardware. then it got ported to the 360, and from what I've heard, the 360 version suffered a bit in graphical quality.

now, as you and Havok have pointed out above, XIII-2 may have experienced a graphical downgrade, and that may be due to the game being designed for 2 platforms in mind.

if Versus has been designed specifically for the PS3 hardware, then I'd rather they stick with that one system, and deliver the best quality game. instead of having to water it down to handle 2 systems.

lol nathan. it was obvious there would be a 3. Vanille and fFang still need to be freed and there was no sign of them ending that story line in 2. since it's not dealing with that really in 2 they talk about freeing them but are no where near that.

yeah I know people still find that weird sounding ozzy chick odd. which even the people from down under don't even know what accent she annoying has .

There is no need for anything. The only thing they need to do is to stop forcing XIII down our throats and give us the one game we've been waiting years for.

With in the story's video they have at GT which I put up here . They showed "Hope" stating they need to free vanille and fang and how pissed that they were entrapped in Cristal . It's not my fault man it's just the way they set up the story. And I know you saw it or should have. Any way I'm sure versus will be out before XIII-3 and it wont matter cause you'd have moved on to versus any way. best way to send square a message for ya nathan is to just play versus since your done with this already.

Im with Nathan. They need to just move on from XIII and let it rest. The fans arent clamoring for more if it. After Vs XIII, that should be the end. They need to stop trying to make Lightning and her friends happen. Most people dont care

that's just the problem, look at the words you just chose. You just said fan's aren't(as in all) and then you used the word "most"(as in not all). which means there some people that are possibly still into this series and want this game series to be finished the way square wants to go about this.

That's far from what I've been reading, every FFXIII related news story or article is always plagued with the ******** claims that it was a bad or even TERRIBLE game.

and your sentence kinda confused me just now ,I thought we were all stating that "versus XIII" was a different thing from XIII and XIII-2?

Well Any way. As I said just buy "versus" but Skip XIII -2. it's the only way to get that message across. cause if you haven't noticed all of the video industry and most fans see is that FF XIII was a disappointment, yes . but their MMo dubbed "FF14" was the failure. which is more accurate.
