Great job with XIII...

i actually thought the story in XIII was good. Also, they have the whole story as you play in the menu, so that you are not lost with characters and story plots.

Alright, thanks professor.

I'm kind of surprised by the reviews. Apparently the game mechanics have been greatly improved, but from every review I've read, the story is all over the place and doesn't make sense.

and that reason alone is why it is mostly as bad if not worse than XIII. For RPGs, especially FF, story is a HUGE aspect of it. For me at least, those tend to fall apart with a weak story

At least it doesn't seem as bad as FFX-2, which completely destroyed the meaning behind the ending of FFX, which was sacrifice and that death is inevitable for everyone (at least for me). But NO! Dance around the planet with your besties enough, you can bring your boyfriend back from the dead.

Tidus didnt exactly end off dead in FFX. The very last scene showed him alive, which was the setup for a future game, which ultimately ended up being X-2

It's easier just to believe the end of the game before the credits is the end of the story. I like it as a tragedy.
However, I don't hate FFX-2, I thought it was a nice to have a lighthearted story and I like that they didn't just go with the same battle system as the previous game. But i like to think of it as an extended alternate ending.

it was just given an 8.8 here. which will be a shocker to those reading other wise.

I viewed it as Tidus meeting up with his dad on the other side. The way I have been hearing it, they made X-2, because people weren't happy with the ending. Or was X-2 already planned from the very beginning?

Go to 06:37/07:15 ,where "Hope" is speaking. Those creators of this series they just want to finish their story. So they planned it out in 3 parts I guess.

oh my bad meh. I'm half a sleep. nah it's almost kinda similar but not the same .they just wanted yuna to be the heroin in that series after the first and they stated they were trying to fix some mistakes prior in the first game as well. I've forgotten what though.

Oh? I never knew of that video. I saw Tidus and his dad slapping hands and that was it for me. I do have the International version, must have switched the game off after that scene.
