Firefly's Fillion Moves into Castle

yeah at that bomb scene I kept saying to myself come on Castle do something stupid to save the day.

it was rather intense... though it was obvious what was going to happen....

just what was Beckett saying as she passed out in the freezer container?

Tamala Jones isn't even in every episode anyways.

Yeah I don't want Lanie to go but I think she might be the one, was that bomb scene intense or what?!!?!

Well, if it was a character everyone wanted to see go, it does kind of defeat some of the purpose of doing so.

I'm aware of that, I just like the character so therefore I do not want her to go. Thought that got across in my post.

Fantastic second part, the tension they go out of the two big situations Castle and Beckett were in was superb, we all knew our intrepid heroes would survive but they really milked every ounce of tension from the scenarios.

There some great little moments between Castle and Beckett where things were achingly close to beong said. I also hope we see Fallon again, he was an interesting character, just like when they brought Dana Delany's FBI agent in.

I'm debating who 3XK is going to kill. I think his escape is going to come back and bite Castle in the finale by someone close to the team dying at his hands. I mean, why set it up if there aren't consequences?

My top candidates are Gina or Josh. The loss of someone the two main characters love could create another barricade in the Castle/Beckett relationship keeping the will they/won't they dynamic around for another season as Rick or Kate grieve. I figure Ryan's fiancee is another option. Or if the writers are feeling particularly daring they may kill off one of the lesser main characters like Montgomery or Lanie.

But right now, I'm leaning towards Josh.

Josh is designed to be disliked by most of the audience so I don't think killing him off would be a good idea, Beckett needs to realize he is not the one for her because of her feelings for Castle, as opposed to him being killed off leaving things unresolved.

Lanie or Ryan's fiance seem the best two candidates IMO, they wouldn't alter the key dynamics of the show but their deaths would have an emotional impact on the characters we care about.

Great episode. Even though we know nothing will ever happen to Castle or Beckett, the tension is still there. Loved how Castle saved the day. Honestly, if I'm next to a bomb that's about to go off and I know there's nothing anyone could do to stop it, I'd start yanking stuff too. What's the worst that could happen, eh?

i loved the first part but the second part was a total let down :(

Likewise, I was simply pointing out that our liking a character, coupled with the fact that she is not central to the premise and that she's not a child, makes her highly at risk.

guess you can say the second part bombed

:hehe:

Right Gotcha.

Im so excited for this because for years i would watch my moms "stories" with her and this brings back happy memories.

It was a good Monday for television and this capped off my DVR session. Gotta love these light hearted Castle episodes.

specially after the few serious ones they've had...

This was a great episode and I loved that we got some Captain Montgomery action and Ryan and Esposito.

Yeah I liked them getting some good screen time, especially Montgomery getting the big scene with his DA friend at the end.

The sub plot with Castle and Alexis was nice as well and I loved the ending with Castle pretending he hadn't seen Forbidden Planet. :woot:

Esposito: Knowing one Shakespeare quote doesn't make you a renissance man.

Ryan: What I knew two?

Esposito: Do you?

Ryan: No.

:lmao:

That was funny. I love the exchanges between those two. But this post is even funnier with the spelling and the grammatical error. :awesome:

The ending was also great with Castle pretending to not having watched Forbidden Planet. Which was one of my favorite movies from my youth.

Hunter, you have an awesome avvy !

Anyone read the actual nikki heat books? Got the first one today though the mail!

That Rick Castle is a sly fox telling Kate he'd never seen forbidden planet classic.

hasn't he done something like that before?

Also... anyone watch NCIS LA last night?

Ask the people in the NCIS LA thread and if there isn't one make one. :)
