But with the 3XK angle.... his innocence should be clear on this....

Probably not in the eyes of the new Captain, plus they'd still need to spend the episode tracking down 3XK to try and arrest him and find out what his endgame is with setting Ryan up.

Did no one watch this last night? That was a wonderful episode. Well-acted. Heavy on the drama this go-round, but handled expertly.

And a great chance for Seamus Dever to show off just how good he is.

Very good episode last night. When Beckett made the ccomment about Castle thinking like a cop it got me thinking. Anyone else think Castle may eventually become a cop or detective in a later season?

Good episode. Wasn't really about the 3XK killer in the end, but just the gun he stole. I think the storyline will be drawn out further.

I hope not, otherwise it will become just like every other cop show. What makes it unique is that Castle is a writer and an outsider who solves the cases for them. He would be bound by all kinds of rules and regulations if he were really a cop. At the moment he can do more unorthodox actions.

Great Episode, I enjoyed seeing the 3XK storyline revisited.

i get the sense that they're going to be slowly building up to something big with the 3xk.... he'll pop in & out of their lives in different ways before probably making a play for someone... maybe Alexis?

I told my wife last night: "Doesn't Castle realize that 3XK basically considers him a nemesis now, and 3XK has a thing for killing women...and Castle has 3 very important women in his life?

Something's going to budge. I can feel it.

The question is... who? Beckett? Martha? Alexis? Each one has a different impact on Castle's life... but which one has the most?

This is actually an old discussion, but amongst the choices, Martha is the only one it can be, really. Alexis dying will change Castle in ways that will also change the show's tone overall. Beckett dying. Well, might as well kill the titular character too, at that point, since the show's name might as well be "Castle & Beckett." Martha dying (not that I want her to), will bring a much deeper connection between Beckett and Castle for obvious reasons, and the death of a parent is more recoverable from than the death of a child.

Promo for next weeks! What are you doing Castle! :wow: :cmad:

He was excellent and really that was what the ep was about, not 3XK or the actual case, they were just window dressing, it was a showcase for viewers to see how much more there is to Ryan. Esposito got his own ep last year when is partner he thought was dead came back, but it just gave us backstory on him, this was a bigger exploration of Ryan.

Exactly, Alexis dies and Castle goes to dark places meant for Jack Bauer, not Richard Castle, so that leaves Martha, which just seems too obvious. I still think it may end up being Ryan's fiance' as they drop mentions of the inpending wedding in from time to time.

It doesn't matter whether it's a parent or a child. Either loss is just as bad, particularly if the person has been murdered. Just ask Kate Beckett, who lost her mother. Either Martha or Alexis dying would send Castle into a dark place. He would be driven to catch the 3XK killer in a more obsessive way than Beckett has been with her mother. She's had years to get to a certain place of healing (even though time isn't going to heal something like that) before the show started. Castle would be in the thick of it.

Maybe it could be Castle's ex wife instead - either Alexis's mother or the other book publisher one. Those would be the only other female options other than Ryan's fiance.

Hmm, if Alexis' mother is the one who was killed it could push Alexis in an interesting career direction, since right now she is aimless after the fiasco with Stamford.

Anyone watch this week's Castle yet?

I had to laugh at the Catwoman rip off. I knew, as soon as I heard that insurance investigator's name, Serena Kay, that she was probably a thief, and that it was an allusion to Selina Kyle. Then later my suspicions were confirmed. She even suggested she's been known for carrying a whip and Ryan referred to her as a thief with a heart of gold.

Pretty decent episode. Worf sighting again! Love this show more and more every week.

Dark Raven sums up my views, really fun ep and I loved the undercurrent between Castle and Beckett.

Next weeks Halloween ep looks great. :D

Really fun ep this week, although they should have aired it next Monday on Halloween.

Castle getting duped by Beckett and the Ghostbusters line complete with music burst was great. :D Ryan's fiance getting another appearence, I think she will be 3XK's next. The stuff with Castle and Alexis was spot on as always, best father/daughter pairing on TV.

Next weeks looks like a switch to the more dramatic! :wow:

I agree, their exchanges are always good and I mostly agree with Castle's advice.

Ah.. the bank robbery episode.. been hearing some interesting things about that one.

This episode was ****ing amazing! Like holy ****.

A very good episode....

Sorry to say, i'm still thinking Alexis is a ***** this season.

'He's not the only one here you know' LOL Martha was great in the episode.

Really enjoyable episode last night.

Every time Castle does the whole mouth thing, it reminds me Lou Costello. Costello used to do the same thing.

Castle is its own show, and a pretty good one at that, shouldn't it have a proper title?

It was a good episode this week. The fact that they got out of the bank two-thirds of the way through the episode and then had to solve the mystery of Ian Khan's (I forget his character's name) involvement meant that they kept it interesting and the pace never slowed down.

It would've been good though if Beckett and her team were the ones taking him down at the end instead of just waiting to hear about it on the phone. That was the one part that was a slight let down. It's as if Castle or Beckett didn't get the chance to face off against him after he had fooled them both with his epileptic fit.
