Firefly's Fillion Moves into Castle

he is....

TBH, i think they're extending this arc a bit too long... two or three episodes would be the limit for me...

Making the characters seem.... stupid atm... and not just Castle or Beckett... but the others as well for idly sitting by and not cracking heads.... which would literally be what i'd do if i was watching stupidity like this happen before me.

EDIT- there's also the hypocrisy going on here.... Castle's pissed at Beckett for keeping a secret from him.... when he's got his own equally as flammable secret he's keeping from Beckett

This childish **** between Castle and Beckett better be finished by the end of next week's episode. I'm tired of the perpetual will they won't they. Its the reason why I've skipped a couple episodes the season. I only watch this show for Castle and Beckett's storyline, and even that is getting old. The show needs a some kind of new dynamic.

the name of the finale suggests that the current arc will be going till the end of the finale...

the finale called 'Always'

makes me think that this year the finale event won't be a shocker like Beckett being shot.... but something a lot more personal like having the two of them verbally slug it out in a room.... ala the argument at the end of last season....

As usual the story was good but I wasn't a fan of seperating the key dynamic at all, I didn't think they'd play it like that. I did like Castle's rapelling plan though. :D

Next weeks looks like it will bring things closer to the boil plus it's got a great guest star!

I think he's more upset about the fact he thinks the reason she hid it from is she doesn't feel the same.

There is no new episode next week, it'll be in 2 weeks.

It is hypocrisy on Castle's part in that your mad at her for keeping it a secret. He's doing the same thing back by not saying how he feels about it.

Castle reverting back to his playboy ways is getting old, I mean how many types have the writers introduced some person for Castle or Beckett to show interest in when they go through this. Beckett actually calling that guy back at the end was just eye-rolling for me.

Sadly, I'm almost done with this show. It is no longer the fun show that it used to be in the past. There is just something off nowadays that makes the show a burden to watch but I watch because I love Nathan Fillion and I want to see how much bigger he will continue to grow. lol

I would be very happy if Ryan and Esposito got a larger role in the show and for Beckett to stop treating them like lackeys. She may be lead detective but they are twice as smart and better at their jobs than she is. Secondly, I would love the show if they killed off Beckett. She is an idiot, plain and simple. She usually draws the wrong conclusions about suspects, has no idea about how the law works (like with diplomatic immunity and FBI jurisdiction), and is just a horrible character. No wonder they have Castle to work the cases, to fill in the intelligence gap that is between her head.

I love all the other women on the show. They are strong, smart, funny, successful, and sexy in their own way. Everything Beckett isn't.

I think your being way too harsh on Beckett. How the character is just based on what the show is about. She can't come up with the answers all the time because it has to be Castle to show how smart and how useful he is. Also to show how much the two complement each other.

I kinda have to say that this show has been becoming less compelling for me lately. I originally got into it mostly for the humor, playful banter, and murder mystery aspect, which have all declined especially this season. The chemistry between Castle & Beckett used to be comical and I kinda wish the show would go back to that. Everything is so mopey and melodramatic now that it's sort of depressing.

So although I don't really watch the show as much for the character-arc development (as in, I don't care if Castle & Beckett get together or not), the episode this week felt like a huge step backwards for their characters. Castle acting like a selfish kid and Beckett calling back the Scotland Yard detective was facepalm-inducing.

The idea of Ryan and Esposito getting larger roles sounds like a damn good idea to me. Those two guys are awesome. If they got rid of Beckett's character and just kept Castle (to eliminate the romance aspect from the show), that'd be something I'd watch! :)

I officially have lost all pity for Beckett.
She had more than enough chances to hook up with Castle....I'm on Castles side. Ditch her!

Just pondering something with a friend just now..... Beckett is the muse for Heat & turner was a muse for a CIA 'Derrick Storm' character....

But the actual Storm Muse.... think he'll ever appear, and who do you think they'll have play him?

Either it's supposed to be Rick himself, or the mysterious [probably] CIA elder Castle. Or not. Just speculating.

I like Fillion in Firefly/Serenity so I'm going to give this show a chance. Just added Season 1 to my Netflix list.

^^^ You've got some great stuff to look forward to Figs.

The last ep with Baldwin as Jack Slaughter was gold! :D

Baldwin is in an episode?! :awesome:

he is.... though you'll probably hate him by the end of the episode lol.

One thing i like about Castle is that they are not afraid to throw in references to actors past jobs.... and it's often fun spotting the references.

Just watched the first episode and I like it. Look forward to the rest.

Is this show already on Season 2?

Lol, season 4 finale is this Monday. You won't reach Adam Baldwin episode for awhile.

The finale looks interesting..... i know a few fangirls who went a bit loopy when the advert appeared lol.

I can see why, I mean the writers have been going in circles with those two for awhile now. However, this could be another fake-out. But I really hope not.

from all the talk from the husband side of the show-running couple...... i don't think it will be a fake out. I hope that the unofficial talk about the 5th season already greenlit is made official ASAP.

......AFAIK, ABC haven't announced anything for any of their shows yet have they?

The ratings for this have been consistently solid. Its an unofficial lock to be renewed if it hasn't already.

The thing that's most interesting about this episode, [BLACKOUT]finally we have progress[/BLACKOUT]. Also I usually don't care for the mystery of the death of Beckett's mother since its basically one or two episode a season that moves it forward. But I was intrigued where it could based on the last scene.
