So when's this show coming back on?

And does anyone know when the Firefly cast reunion was supposed to air on the Science Channel?

New season premiers September 24.

okay.. that was funny.... good to see the show returning to the comical side again

Yeah I agree, Season 4 had a more serious/darker tone for obvious reasons. I'm sure we are going to see a bit of comedy from Castle/Beckett trying to hide their relationship from their family/friends/co-workers.

Really enjoyed the Season 5 premiere, great mixture of intense moments and funny moments.

Episode 2 promo - this episode should be very entertaining

This season is awesome so far, excited for next episode.

i like the fact they're going back to the humour after a rather serious season...

Gates was freaky in the last episode

Castle is once again my Monday Night Fix (much apologies to Hawaii 5-O)!! The show really hasn't lost any steam since putting the leads together. If I had any major gripe so far, it was the rather quick resolution to Beckett's mother's case. 4 seasons of leading us along, only to reach detente in just 1 episode? Kinda abrupt IMO

The thing is that the Mum story isn't exactly over.... it's just paused... you know that they'll try again to target Beckett and Co... but for now it's stalemate.

So.... Ryan knows.... and didn't blab. Had a good laugh at the interrogation scene, Dever's face with the 'Son of a...' was hilarious.

Shame it's now two weeks till we see the next episode... worse with the Promo showing it's going to be an interesting one.

Yeah, but we all know it won't stay like that forever. I don't think anyone thinks that's all resolved. It's just left for another day later in the season.

As for this week's episode, it was fun to see Castle and Beckett trying to relax in the Hamptons and getting caught up in a murder case. As Ryan and Esposito said, it is like Murder She Wrote. Also fun to see the two detectives trying to figure out who is Beckett's current bf. Nice to see in the end that Ryan decides to respect their privacy by not saying anything. But why does he not tell Espo? Is it because he's too much of a blabbermouth?

And it did look like "Revenge" territory this week (because of course, that show is set in the Hamptons).

Beckett said herself things were only on hold because she had found a way to keep the Senator off them and didn't have the leverage to bring him down right now, but that she intended to.

This weeks ep was just flat out fun, loved the Caskett mention and the scene where the chief thought Beckett was Castle's hooker, the facial expressions were gold. :D

The setting was a nice change from NYC and I liked how they linked the plot there to include Ryan and Espo. Ryan's interrogation of Lerner was hilarious as he completely lost focus. :D

Can't believe this isn't on the first page with people talking about the latest episode!!

It was the best episode of the series I think, I loved it.

It now goes back to being semi-serious next week. I like how the show goes from very serious one week to not so much the next.

So, do Martha and Alexis know about Castle and Beckett?

Well he had to show up again eventually. When was the last time the 3XK killer appeared? I don't think he's dead though, and neither does Castle.

How exactly did Castle escape custody though with those fake policemen? Were they something he arranged? Or was it the 3XK killer? It didn't explain properly.

It was explained that somebody owed him a favour when he met up with Kate in the library.

Thought this episode would've worked better as a two parter. A lot of things just felt rushed at times, throwing the pacing off.

Yeah, I heard that bit, but it didn't really say what happened - whether it was those "policemen" who owed him, or whether someone else higher up who got people to pose as policemen. How did he arrange that from prison? If it were the Mayor, for example, even if he owes Castle a favour, if Castle were guilty, then why should he get him out like that?
