Firefly's Fillion Moves into Castle

Ep3 was one of the lighter type ones, good fun stuff with Castle, Espo and Ryan as well the riff on Saved by the Bell. :D The ending caught me off guard, especially after what Castle had just said.

I had two real theories of how they'd have Kate leave the Feds... And it seems both were right...

Also, am I the only one that thought Kate was more goofy than usual?

I figured it wouldn't last too long if they couldn't find contrived ways to keep bringing her back and this was a good way to end it without serious repercussions.

I thought Kate was going to leave of her own accord and not by another's McCord. :p

Wasn't expecting her to be fired so soon. When they've spoken of these grey areas, I thought Beckett was going to decide that she couldn't live like this any longer.

Now will she be back at the precinct with her old job? Will Gates want her back?

Also that actress playing the Russian woman was hot. Who is she?

I like the way they did it, Kate was never going to be able to deal with the political BS and the fact who she really is, someone who's a cop to give justice to victim's like her mother, got her fired as opposed to her quitting.

Next weeks looks great!

Hrm, from the title I was hoping Castle was going to get his ankle dislocated by Kathy Bates...

This was an interesting Episode. Pi, or whatshisface, is still around. Sometimes I wonder if Alexis is just testing her Dad.

I wish Kate would have been out of a job for at least 1 more Episode. Would have been interesting to see what she does all day, when she doesn't have anything to do.

Saw Fillion on a live-episode of Talking Dead, he looks like he's lost alot of weight

Another high concept ep knocked out of the park! Convenient ending for Beckett, especially with the whole "We can still see each other" exception to Caskett, but I don't care, this show is so much fun with some great little mysteries. :D

Ok, this latest Episode was just really awesome.

Did they honestly just make a real sci-fi Episode, without any fake outs? I kept waiting for the connection. I waited, and waited and waited, then we finally got it and discovered how Doyle and Ward were connected. But then Castle missed Doyle and Beckett spilled the coffee. :wow:

I think they did... Kinda glad that they didn't fake out.

The Alexis storyline is getting tiring now... Seems like they are trying to create a rift between father & daughter.... But it seems very OOC for Alexis to act this way IMHO

Okay, so what the hell are they doing to Alexis?

This could have been a good storyline, if they had waited for like another season, but this is just ridiculous. She's 19, met this dumbass hippie on a vacation a month ago and now she's moving in with him? No, just no.

First of all, Pie is not likable AT ALL. He's just plain annoying. Had he been a likable character and have a good reason to go live on his girlfriend's father's couch for like a month, then I wouldn't have such a problem with it. Secondly, why not just put Alexis in a normal relationship with a NORMAL guy? Let it go for a while, let's say a season or so, and THEN make her move in with him. Castle would still be upset because he has the feeling he's losing his daughter, but at least he'd know she's with a decent guy, not with a clown like Pie.

Personally, I think Pi(e) is all kinds of hateable. That mustache on his face makes me want to jump through the tv screen and throw him out a window. Ontop of him already being an idiot.

I'm happy to hear that he's stuck on the couch, but I'd like to see Castle basically torture him as much as possible until Alexis gets...Pi(e) out of her system.

Like when Castle dismissed him by leaving saying he was going to go find someone to talk to. I guess having someone Castle could make fun of could have it's appeal for me. Just have him get owned in witty language that he couldn't even wrap his mind around knowing how to defend, and being Castle's personal punching bag would work on some level for me.

Is it just me, or does seem like Alexis has had incredibly bad taste in guys throughout the series?

I didn't care for this weeks ep at all, this is not a sci fi show and I was hoping for a clever twist to explain all the obvious Terminator homages.

As for Pi, I didn't mind him as a comedic aside, but the idea that a girl as smart as Alexis wants to move in with him makes no sense, especially since so far there has been no depth to him and they haven't shared a single scene that would suggest there is any chemistry there. If they wanted to do a storyline of Alexis moving in with a guy they should have made it a credible guy and done something with the actual thing.

I actually loved the sci-fi thing. It was a fun little twist.

With Alexis and Pi...I'm in two minds about it. On one side of the coin, yeah she's 19, but honestly, we've all don dumb stuff at 19. I've known some very smart people to do some very dumb things, including dating *****es. So I don't see it as that far outside the box.

Granted, it still is a bit outside Alexis' character. It would make more sense to me if it was someone who still seemed intelligent, but was a bit of a "bad boy" type, which made Castle uneasy. Pi just seemed very...stupid. For comedic purposes obviously, but we've seen Alexis shoot down dumb guys before (the party episode).

I enjoyed the episode, was great to see JG back on TV since Chuck ended. Interesting case this week, definitely one that gave us some classic Castle moments.
Loved what Doyle told Castle about being married to Beckett, her being a Senator and them having 3 kids. Her reaction to the 3 kids comment was priceless. I'm over this Pi arc and hope he isn't around for too much longer.

Next week's episode looks good to.

Pi is not the kind of guy Alexis should have interest in. Everything else is believable but the man's stupidity, appearance and annoying traits make the idea she would fall for him questionable. Even for being 19 and acting stupid.

Other than some deep level of attention/angst over her father getting involved with Beckett, I just can't see it.

The sci fi element was almost 100% explainable and sensible until the end with the coffee and the guy disappearing. Those two could be explained I'm sure but it was a nice nod to sci fi although I hope that's all it stays. No returning to that storyline at all would be preferable, unless it explains in real world ways how those two things happened.

Maybe it's a logical decision on Alexis' part. She wants to gather experiences, try to live on her own, and Pi, precisely because of his stupidity, seems like a perfectly safe roommate.

His stupidity can also lead to burning down the apartment building.:woot:

I didn't care for the episode much either. I thought it was a bit too kooky and bordering too much on sci-fi, which I don't want to see in this series. Just because Deschiles reported the guy before doesn't seem like a strong enough explanation for why Ward would come after him.

Also, how did Morgan know where to track Ward? I was wondering if Ward was even his real name or just named after a psyche ward where he and Morgan were kept. Why would Ward think Tuvok would know where Deschiles was if he was just a former student of his? How many professors keep track of their students' whereabouts?

Didn't Lester show up in an episode of Hawaii Five-0 recently?
