Firefly's Fillion Moves into Castle

I love how the show often explores interesting sub cultures as the backdrops for their cases, and this weeks was a really good one with some unexpected twists.

Ryan & Espo were hilarious trying to compete to be Castle's best man. Beckett whipping Castle at Scrabble :funny:

Next weeks looks intense!

I loved that as well and Lanie';s interaction with them when they were trying to get her help. :D

Oh yes, that looks like it will be a hell of an episode. :hyper:

Definitely a filler episode, but an enjoyable one...

And, if i can be a little blokish...any episode that has Stana Katic in her underwear is welcome....

:funny: Castle wanting to play scrabble rather than going to bed with Beckett was so goofy!

The show has done a great job weaving their personal moments into the eps without taking away from the cases.

That reminds me of a Sex and the City episode when Carrie wanted Mr Big to come to bed with her, but he was reading one of her latest books and kept quoting and analysing different passages from it and wanting to ask her about it all night, because he felt she had written it about him.

Holy cow. That episode... wow. I just... wow. I can't believe it's finally over.

Something tells me though that we haven't seen the last of Bracken.

Fantastic, best of the season for sure. SK really bought her A game as did NF and the rest of the cast were great also. How does Stana continually seem to be ignored by the television academy? So great to see Montgomery make an appearance they did well to keep that that from not being spoiled.

Holy crap... That was intense.... Can't believe they've finally done it. Brilliant work by Katic,Fillion,etc... Great to see Gates brought into the fold.

Anyone got a sad feeling they might announce the show isn't being renewed before the finale? The big Beckett arc is over, Castle's met his dad... They're getting hitched.... The cast were sending out the 'It's been wonderful people' tweets recently.... Just got a funny feeling the next episode might be it :(

I'd be happy and sad at the same time. Happy that we got 6 seasons of a completely fantastic show. Sad that we won't see any further adventures.

But if they think this is it, and don't have better material for a 7th season, then I'm glad they are calling it quits. I don't want the show to overstay its welcome, like HIMYM.

But it'd be awesome if we'd eventually get a Movie out of it. Like Veronica Mars.

Hopefully I'm just getting 5 from 2+2... There's still the 3XK situation to resolve, Bracken won't be going quietly either... Plus the papa Castle And there's still a load they can do with 'Caskett' so it's not like they've exhausted everything.

That being said, I do think we're close to the end of a great show sadly.

I wouldn't be shocked if this is the final season, but I do think they have enough material to mine for one more season if the network wants them to return. Or have they already extended the show? I have no clue. And if they haven't, what would they slide into Castle's timeslot? Perhaps Elementary or Person of Interest?

Like Dr Lee said, you could get some mileage out of resolving the 3XK story and the unraveling of Bracken's empire (since I'm sure there's more out there lurking besides the man himself). Should be interesting to see what happens nonetheless.

IIRC, ABC are one of the later companies to announce renewals/cancellations

From all I have read in regards to network renewals, this one is a lock to be renewed.

Fantastic episode that finally wraps up the arc of Beckett's mothers death. It's been a great story that has been revealed piece by piece, always feeling like they knew where it was going unlike say, The Red John mystery in The Mentalist, and giving us some steady new developments each time it was revisited before delivering a satisfying conclusion.

I like the fact that Castle and Beckett had been tracking Vulcan Simmons since his last appearance, Castle said 6 weeks so it's as if the show episode-wise was moving in real time week to week. It made sense that Beckett wouldn't just go back to her everyday life, and I am glad they did it together instead of Kate keeping it from him.

Everyone was excellent in the ep but Stana in particular was fantastic, right up there with her performance in the ep 'In the Belly of the Beast' where Beckett went undercover. Loved the part where she went badass and took out Bracken's assassins.

I don't think this is the last season, in fact I am pretty sure seasons 6 and 7 were picked up at the same time. There is still the 3XK killer to deal with as he was built up further this season, and I imagine we'll see Bracken's trial as someone like that isn't easy to put away, plus I am curious as to who actually killed Vulcan Simmons.

Vulcan Simmons sounds like the love child of Spock and Fitz's best girl.

I'm optimistic that there will be a 7th season as I remember reading somewhere that Nathan & Stana were contracted for 7 seasons. However when the show does come to an end I highly doubt there will a movie.

It looks like the season finale is going to be a lighter episode that will have some comedy hijinks on the way up the aisle! :D

They managed to pull off a good season/series finale with this ending. Either way it can work as an ending without leaving the audience disappointed. The wedding I assume will not have some big twist to it unless they know for certain there will be a season seven to be set up for.

Thank you ABC for taking my mind away from my back's attempts to kill me...

Castle
SHIELD
Carter

All next season :D

Thinking of siccing my back on the writers now.... Big spoilers.

Ugh... We get a light, fluffy fun show leading up to what should be a nice, romantic wedding the shippers can sob over for years....

Instead, we get castle nabbed by persons unknown, though almost certainly 3XK (IMHO) and everyone thinking he's dead in a flaming wreck of a decent Merc...

As tense as the wait for next season will be.... This wasn't needed. Give the viewers a lovely, fluffy wedding, then have 3XK lurking in the gathered guests smirking menacingly...Still got the OMGWTFBBQ'ness, but without the cliche.

God.... Imagine if the show hadn't been renewed :wow:

God.... Imagine if the show hadn't been renewed :wow:

Maybe they filmed two versions: happy ending for a series finale and a cliffhanger in case of renewal. :word:

So who could be behind all of this? The first one to come to mind is [BLACKOUT]3XK[/BLACKOUT], but who else could it be? Maybe [BLACKOUT]something to do with Castle's dad?[/BLACKOUT]

First option is the most likely.... Though the second is an interesting one... Specially as Marlowe is quoted today as talking about a 'new mythology' in the show post the Johanna story conclusion.
