Veteran voice actor Lex Lang told The Continuum he recently recorded several roles for the first two episodes of Kids' WB!'s new season of The Batman.

"I did the voices of Metallo, Clayface and the mayor," Lang told The Continuum. "And in the second episode I did the voice of a slacker dude who helps Superman get some Kryptonite off of him."
Lang said he lowered the register of his voice for Metallo and expects a computer enhancement to fit the character. According to Lang, George Newbern is reprising his Justice League role of Superman and Clancy Brown is returning as Lex Luthor. Brown also voiced Mr. Freeze on The Batman.

Very glad to see Hawkman in the mix.

So just for confirmation's sake,we're looking at:

Superman
Flash
Manhunter
Green Lantern
Green Arrow
Hawkman
Aquaman

???

To be fair, The manhunter looks fantastic in motion, both in human and alien form and he is voiced incredibly well. Unlike the JLU version, he has already spent some time on earth and you can see this coming out of his personality instead of the emotionally cold JLLU version which had just landed and hadn;t had any time to interact with humans

the shorts also look pretty damn nice and his chin doesn;t actually look that big, i don;t think those stills do him any form of justice.

The Martian Manhunter looked terrible, even with the crappy design he's always had.

Martian Manhunter looked just fine in last week's episode to me, and I liked how he upgraded from underoos to trunks. They really tried to homage the DC: NEW FRONTIER schtick with him.

Superman & The Flash look alright, although I am hesitant about suddenly clogging THE BATMAN with team-up's with other superheroes. It usually is a sign that a show is running out of ideas and this season has been off to such a bang I'd hate to see it became BATMAN & HIS BATASTIC FRIENDS or something where he's having daylight adventure team-ups with Flash. This show tries to walk a tightrope between darkness and light, but if it falls too far into the latter, well...

I love how Martian Manhunter looks! Also, can someone post the pic that the artist from "the Batman" drew of Superman just for fun?

EDIT: Found it

^^^Thats kind of the look I was expecting not a JLU look. I wanted something different. Oh well I just hope they put the \S/ pn the back of the cape.

While the new official Superman design is fine and a huge improvement over that "just for fun" drawing, it looks rather bland to me. I think that this might be what we can expect now that Matsuda is gone: nothing more than the JL/JLU designs translated to Matsuda's angular style.

The design for the Flash in that pic looks rather unappealing, though.

apparently the whole team of animators associated with matsuda are jumping ship

it was an honor and a pleasure to have directed 19 episodes of The Batman over the last 4 seasons as well as co-direct The Batman vs. Dracula DTV movie. But I've decided to take break from the Dark Knight series and try my hand at something new. I am now in production as a director on The Legion of Super Heroes. I'm pretty excited to dive into the futuristic, sci-fi universe of the Legion and even more excited to work with producer James Tucker. I worked with James 10 years ago as a storyboard artist on The New Batman/Superman Adventures, my first job in the industry. James was a seasoned board artist at the time and he was never too busy to offer me advice and help teach me the ropes. I've never forgotten his kindness and so I'm really happy to get to work with him again as well as my old friend, story editor Michael Jelenic, also from The Batman.

Was there a falling out at the WB with Bruce Timm? It seems like James Tucker jumped ship from Bruce (it is very evident in the interviews on the JLU season 2 DVDs).

Now Alan Burnett, who has and is with Bruce Timm, has taken over Batman and re-invted Justice League.

I for one really like this past season of The Batman, and the next season is positioned to be killer. Way to go Alan.

Nothing against Matsuda, but I am just not a fan of his animation or drawing style style.

Come on what were you expecting. How do you expect them to jazz up the costumes if they want to stay accurate to the design. I mean i dont how superman is any blander then the rest of the styles.

Who needs them?

Superman + Batman + Flash + Green Lantern + Green Arrow + Hawkman + Aquaman + Martian Manhunter = WIN!

Siiic lineup. Great to see Hal Jordan and Carter Hall back where they belong.
