It is just a rumor. Some guy on twitter said he had a source, but that source also stirred up the Hopkins controversy story.

616 Thor's had a beard plenty of times. There shall be no mentioning of Ultimate blasphemy here.

I've only recently started to read the series, just finished Gods & Monsters, all I can say is that it's a pretty pathetic depiction of Thor. In fact, it's a pretty pathetic depiction of them all, I don't like any of them.

I've only read the first volume of The Ultimates, but I've never been able to stand Ultimate Thor. As a character on his own, whatever, I can ignore him. But as soon as it became apparent that Marvel was taking bits and pieces from the Ultimate universe as well as the original Marvel universe for film adaptations, with Samuel L. Fury and the Ultimate Avengers movies, I was very afraid for the Thor movie. I'm glad to see that, so far at least, it looks like they're staying true to the original comics.

Looks good, but I still dont trust it. I mean Thor is one of those comic charcters that I felt should remain in the comics. Getting a live action movie right without coming across a lil hokey is difficult, although not impossiable. I need to see more, but the pic looks pretty accurate too the comics.

I actually don't think it'd be difficult at all, I envision Lord of the Rings meets superhero genre when it comes to Thor. I can easily see it taken seriously with no cheese, camp or "hokey" as you put it.
