you misunderstood.....They're not making an MCU movie, or a new superhero. They're making a Fantastic Four movie. They aren't legally allowed to put Black Panther in there, and it would be really dumb tokenism to make in the Fantastic Five so they could have a new black character.
Unless men are dramatically different from women biologically, unless we are expected to view and treat men and women differently in social situations, unless there are things a woman can do that a man can't, then yes, that should be completely acceptable.
Edit: What's really gonna drive people crazy is when they start drawing Johnny with a heavy tan in 616.![]()

Symbolic post.I hate this.
Here's the deal, character likes Black Panther or Luke Cage HAVE to be black. They are, for better or worse, defined by their race. There story would cease to make sense if they are white.
Johnny Storm, along with many other superheros, is not defined by race. He is a young handsome, head strong kid. He can be white, black, orange or purple. His race, besides the coloring in a comic book, is not important. Michael B. Jordan is a fantastic young actor, who could pull of Johnny Storm in a heart beat. Cast him now.
Good Lord that's a massive and unnecessary stretch. Not necessarily so. Just like Tarzan, a white baby abandoned in the jungle could've been adopted by T'Chaka and his wife and raised as their own. If the wife couldn't have children and they found one somewhere in the jungle (eg if there were a plane crash and the baby's parents died but the child survived), then the baby could easily grow up in Wakanda, adopt its language, culture and values and would be exactly like T'Challa. He'd just be white. It's the same as if Johnny is adopted.
Why does T'Challa have to actually be black skinned if the above scenario happened? He'd still be African in every other way.
Good Lord that's a massive and unnecessary stretch.

Simply making him adopted is a pretty minor change. Are you serious?& changing Johnny Storm is not which would still effect the rest of this team ? Sounds like double standards if you ask me
It's not necessarily for no reason. Jordan could simply be the best suited for the role and for a character that can still be true to the comics regardless of race. It's not a white/black thing. I have always hated changing a characters race/gender for no reason. And no I don want The Black Panthe or Luke Cage to be white or Asian or any other race.
Except, Black Panther is one of the few mainstream black superheros. Turing him white, is beyond insulting.

I don't see why the director should be forced to cast a white actor in a role when the character is not defined by race. The adoption angle takes care of the biggest problem people would have with this. Can Sue and Johnny not be siblings now because of their skin tone?It is a silly & not needed change. It is not that hard to stick with the source material & add in another character for this guy to play. If the director wants him that bad
