Garfield was skinny, awkward looking, and had a near unibrow. His looks were the talk of the Spider-Man forum at the time.

He's kinda cleaned up there, but really? The guy looks like he ought to be in the running for Mole Man rather than Johnny Storm. The Turtle gig I can understand since it involves a full-face mask and/or mocap. But unless they have the Torch stay on fire from the moment he gets his powers, this dude's face is gonna be all over the screen. I seriously could not take two hours of that in IMAX.

He's probably yet to show true acting chops plus it's very unlikely he'll ever be considered so what about Colton Haynes aka Roy Harper from Arrow? And just for the record, I'm just throwing suggestions out there.

I saw some good stuff out of him on "The Gates"...and he wouldn't have problems with the action. The problem is, he is pretty short....and he isn't growing anymore....lol

According to IMDb, Haynes is 5'11" and Fisher is 5'9". Haynes is plenty tall enough, especially when you consider that he'll be wearing boots.

Haynes' age would be a definite plus. At 23, he's young enough to play "kid brother", yet old enough to be believable as a test pilot or whatever profession they assign to Johnny.

Haynes is not 5'11"....I have seen him with actresses that are no more than 5'5" or 5'6" and he is maybe an inch taller......actors fib about their height....and this is one of them. No way he is an inch away from 6'....

For a one time movie, I see no problem....and also depends on who they put around him in the ensemble...

If he were to be cast...honestly, I would have absolutely no problem with it.

Hemsworth the Lesser definitely has the look, but does he have the charisma and acting chops to play Johnny Storm?

Maybe they can do Johnny like they are doing Electro in ASM2. Paint on the actor then light him up for the glowing affects then add flames.

At least when he's on the ground and not flying around fully flamed up.
