"Dawson's Creek" is crap. "Gilmore Girls" is witty and intelligent in a good, non-pretentious way. There are a few cringe-worthy moments of stereotypically vapid TV character behavior (I've only seen the first seasons and some of the second so far), but those are minimal.

I can't stand that WB soap opera crap, so if I vouch for one of those types of shows, there's actually something to it.

I heard that "One Tree Hill" was actually a spin-off of "Gilmore Girls," but I'm not sure. Last night I saw the episode where the actor in common between the two shows leaves. You can be damn sure I ain't followin' him to his new town.
