Flashpoint - DC Animated.

Flashpoint Paradox comes in July!

Revealed exclusively to Newsarama, Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox will hit Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, OnDemand, and Digital Download on July 30, 2013, taking the 2011 DC Comics series Flashpoint into the world of animation. That comic book series, by Geoff Johns and Andy Kubert, served as the impetus for the "New 52" relaunch of the DC Comics universe later that year.

"When time travel allows a past wrong to be righted for The Flash and his family, the ripples of the event prove disastrous as a fractured, alternate reality now exists where a Justice League never formed, and even Superman is nowhere to be found. Teaming with a grittier, more violent Dark Knight and Cyborg, Flash races to restore the continuity of his original timeline while this new world is ravaged by a fierce war between Wonder Woman's Amazons and Aquaman’s Atlanteans. With breath taking action and an all-star voice cast, it's a bold, emotional vision that will forever change the landscape of the DC Universe."

I am SO psyched for this one!!! That's exactly how I want him to look in animation. The eyes are exposed and the ear pieces look great. This is going to be awesome! I'm buying 4 copies!!

I'll probably check it out at some point. I never read Flashpoint and still have a lot of catching up to do on animated ones (I haven't seen either Batman/Superman films, either DKR, Batman Year One, Gotham Knight, or Superman vs The Elite... I THINK that's it).

They have mostly been really good. I'd say my favorites have been Under the Red Hood and New Frontier.

I am just thrilled they are doing an animated feature with The Flash as the focal point finally.

And I liked Flashpoint, it was a good read. I was also happy DC Comics decided to do a Flash centeric major event as well. :)

I've been meaning to buy DKR, I've seen Batman: Year One, don't own it, but would like to, saw Public Enemies, it was okay, Gotham Knight I own unfortunately and it sucked, All Star Superman was great, haven't seen Elite yet but want to, New Frontier is my favorite DTV so far, but Mask of The Phantasm is still my number one all time DC animated "film" project.

Wonder Woman was great, Superman Doomsday I liked a lot as a standalone Superman story and NOT an adaptation of the book, GL: First Flight was okay, didn't get to see Emerald Knights yet but it doesn't look bad. Didn't see JL: Doom, I'd like to tho, and I didn't think Crisis on Two Earths was much good unfortunately.

I'm looking forward to Flashpoint most of all though. :)

I'd love to see Kingdom Come, JLA: Year One, a Flash: Year One or "Secret Origin" type flick, and a Teen Titans: Year One would be cool. So many good stories they could do, hopefully they make good money and there's a market for 'em and WB lets Bruce Timm and CO do them all someday. :)

Firstly... I'm disappointed that Kevin Conroy won't be getting to voice the Thomas Wayne version of Batman. Nice to still have him... but you'd think Andrea Romano would let him work his skills a little bit and go in a different direction.

Everything else sounds and looks fantastic, but the biggest surprise is the release date. They're really cranking them out this year.

Bruce Wayne only has one small scene at the end of Flashpoint, right?

I'm hoping this won't be a cameo thing for Kevin.

Or he'll just play Thomas Wayne.

Kevin Conroy leaked his return to the role of Batman in the film, and WBA confirmed the actor will be playing Bruce Wayne/Batman in the non-Flashpoint era sections of the film... Thomas Wayne/Batman will be revealed soon.

''Sections'' does imply that it'll be a little more than a bit part, but we'll see.

That is the most ridiculous article I've read in a long time... they can't even get some of their research right.

There is NO continuity in the animated division to reboot. All past and current projects of the last few years have been in their own individual world.

Something is brewing at DC/WB studios but it's not this.

Glad to know I'm not the only one thinking the same thing. Sounds like they just got excited from some unofficial deviantart stuff.

Pic is cool, but all the animated projects are stand alone films. That article is stupid. No reason why Flashpoint wouldn't be self contained like the rest of the DCAU movies - it was just going to be a Flash story initially IIRC.

Maybe they want to start creating continuity to make a new coherent animated universe? This feature would be a good starting point' if they are planning?

I don't think that is the plan as the current DC shows don't share a universe I can't see them making a film universe for the animated stuff they are all stand alone anyway.

So pumped for this! I loved Flashpoint. I do have to say, this does look like an animated version of Ryan Gosling haha!

A unified animated movie continuity? Why hasn't DC thought of doing this with live-action?!?!?!?!

When does this come out? Man I'm excited for this. Drawings are looking good.

Grey's Anatomy Stars Get Animated for Justice League

A pair of Grey's Anatomy doctors will spend their summer hiatus saving lives in a different way. Justin Chambers and Kevin McKidd don cape and cowl to star in the upcoming animated superhero adventure Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox.

The film — based on Flashpoint, a 2011 comic book miniseries by writer Geoff Johns and artist Andy Kubert — will be released on July 30 in Blu-ray, DVD, On Demand and digital download formats from Warner Bros. Animation, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

Chambers plays the Flash, the super-speedster hero whose life is thrown into chaos when the reality around him suddenly changes into a world where the Justice League was never formed, Superman is unknown and Aquaman and Wonder Woman are waging a vicious war against each other that is tearing apart Europe. McKidd stars as Batman — but in this alternate reality it's not who you expect wearing the mask.

The all-star cast also includes Michael B. Jordan — star of this year's Sundance darling Fruitvale — as Cyborg, the half-man, half-robot government agent/hero; Southland's C. Thomas Howell as Professor Zoom, aka the Reverse Flash, the villain at the center of the turmoil; Cary Elwes as Aquaman, Vanessa Marshall as Wonder Woman; Sam Daly as Superman; Ron Perlman as Slade; and Danny Huston as General Lane. Warner Bros. Animation vets Kevin Conroy, Dana Delany and Nathan Fillion reprise their roles as Batman, Lois Lane and Green Lantern, respectively.
