For those of you who ENJOYED the movie ... post your thoughts here ...

I had the same feeling I had about the Fantastic Four film.
Fantastic Four sucked for two reasons: the cast (Johnny Storm is the only good casting) and the writing/script was horrible. you can't overcome bad writing.

A couple of points that might not be brought up otherwise:

1. Matt Long, from certain angles, seriously looked like a younger Nicholas Cage.
2. The transition from young JB to older JB with the Ozzie laugh from "Crazy Train." I found that laugh to be very creepy in this context, kinda demonic in a way.
3. The contrast between classic/ heavy rock and Karen Carpenter. That was a really great contrast in music, in my opinion.
4. They used classic rock.

BTW, does anyone know where they got that karate ape video from? That was kinda trippy. Lol.
it had its feet firmly planted in the '70s, and i loved that. that's when i first came across Ghost Rider - on 7-11 slurpee cups (and Doctor Strange and others) of all things. Evil Knievel/motorcycle stunt jumping, the Carpenters, the Elvis vibe, the karate/monkey footage. it was great.

So going by this logic the people who hated the movie should create a seperate thread to voice their opnions that have already been posted in the reviews thread??
"going by this logic"? the guy wants a thread where people who enjoyed the movie can discuss it. :whatever: that ok with you?

It was just a question! No need to get all defensive.:o I asked it because i've seen what these 'I Hate the movie' and 'I loved the movie' threads turn into thats all.

By all means continue with the Rider praise.:ghost:

Praise continues!

*Ride on...ride till early morning sun...ride on...like the dawning of the day...it's too late...to let all your feelings show...ride on..."

The funniest bit was the goth woman being interviewed. It'd be cool is she was Australian, she'd be a good comedienne IMO

i thought it was great, the possiblities of what ghost rider can do & where his hellcycle can go is endless

Not a fan of the comic, just like I wasn't a fan of Punisher or Daredevil comics, and just like those movies, I liked this one as well. There were the cheesy scenes, but I expected them in a comic movie (but, what... was that an evil lizard in the desert?) and I didn't care for GR "Yeeha!" but I thought GR's voice was awesome (really worried me that no one was mentioning it). I'd go see it again, but I'm definately going to buy it on DVD. Which is more than I can say about the Hulk.

Off topic, but, I found it to be cool:

MSJ is really an 'American Werewolf in London' fan.... even put that to use in Daredevil!!!

In AWIL one of the guys throwing darts in the bar misses and then says, "you made me miss- I never miss!"

That's exactly what Bullseye says in Daredevil! I just found that to be really cool and worth sharing with you guys.

Visually, that was THE best Marvel comics movie to date.period. That may change with the introduction of Venom in Spider-Man 3, but hes gonna have to look damn good to beat out Ghost Rider.

My wife and I took our 11 yr old daughter to see it opening night. We LOVED it! Special effects were great, cool action and decent acting. I liked the story too, kept things moving right along. At the end of the film the audience clapped! Don't see that too often. Good word of mouth will push GR over the 200M mark easily. Can't wait for the dvd!

How come all the threads for people who hated GR were closed, but this one remains open?

Y'know, I've seen those movies many times and I never noticed that.

:yay:

My favorite line...

To the Helicopter pilot:

Ghost Rider: "YOU'RE PISSIN' ME OFF!!!!!" :ghost:

That voice....Oh man! :woot:

I am fully prepared for legions of new posters to appear ... and slam the movie.

If someone liked it, it would be nice if there was a thread where they could post what they liked so those who did enjoy it could share their thoughts.

I have seen how things work here and fully expect the people who did not enjoy the movie to post here and let their feelings be known.

At least those who enjoyed it know where they can post.
I liked this movie. I agree i don't se a reason for all the hate. But thats just how peopel on here. there come on here to bash it and your never see them again.

lol I just couldn't handle the YEE HAW, it spoiled the moment lol

I'll post thoughts later. But I don't get the bad reviews for this film

it was just really great. If you give a bad review to this film then give one to spider-man and the rest as well.

and GR's voice was on point perfect btw:o

I loved Cage, and The Rider. As far as the villains, I thought they were definitely wayyyy too over the top and terribly acted. Otherwise it was quite enjoyable.

i thought everything that involved the ghost rider was badass , the movie was good , i dont understand peoples complaints about it , it was dark but not too bleak . i hope they make a sequel

I went to see Ghost Rider today and let me say that first off, I went out of my way not to read any fan reviews or critics reviews of the film as not to have a biased mind as I went in, I know a bit a Ghost Rider as I collected his title for a few years so I had a good idea of what he was all about.
To say the least this was a excellent movie, much better than I expected, Marvel's films of late of been pitiful as best, but Ghost Rider to me has brought back Marvel, I believe this is the best film Marvel has made since Spider Man 2, no slight against F4 and X-Men 3, just my opinion.
I highly recommend this movie, it's worth the price of admission, I sincerly hope Iron Man will be as good, I give it a 10 out of 10.

:hyper: I thought it was great...love Sam Elliot; he's female catnip

The movie was fun, didn't take itself to seriously and had some great visuals. The old west feel of the movie set the right tone. It was very Sergio Leone.

This movie was alright. I was disappointed by the lack of action. I mean it only took GR one hit to destroy Blackheart's goons.

Ghost Rider's voice was great. Did Nic Cage do it or did somebody else?

On a scale of 1-10 I give it a 6.
