why can't we have full frontal female nudity???

Every Finnish movie has full frontal nudity.

They really need to step up the television advertising for the movie, no one understands the billboards. I was hanging out with a cousin this weekend and his wife called, one of the things she asked him was who Sarah Marshall was and why does someone hate her so much to rent billboard space proclaiming it. Had no idea about the movie.

With new episodes of shows starting up I'm sure the ads will ramp up.

I thought this film would be crap but the trailers are excellent and I'm anticipating Apatow will have another runaway hit on his hands.

Me too.

(And I wasn't kidding about the nudity in Finland part. I think they some kinda rule here that you must show at least on pair of **** or penis or preferrably both in a movie. Well, not in the kids films but anyway. Maybe nudity is so natural here or something 'cause the actors never even ask for more money if they show something.)

Let's not get confused now. Apatow's just a producer on this one. Jason Segel's the sole screenwriter, and another guy directed it.

I went to a free screening for it last night, and I thought it was hilarious!!! Very wrong in a lot of the humor, but also very cute in a lot of scenes. It doesn't all rely on sex and/or nudity, although a lot of that stuff is great. Yeah, I could have done with less male frontal nudity, but what can you do. The CSI parody that Sarah Marshall stars in is hilarious, and Billy Baldwin as her partner, riffin' on David Caruso, just priceless.

And the whole puppet musical subplot is made even funnier, knowing Segel's actually working on a new Muppets movie.

With all the slobbering Kristen Bell love around here, I'm surprised this thread isn't bumped yet for today's release...

I am really excited about this one! It comes out today and I think the cast is gonna be awesome. I'm not a big fan of Kristen Bell, but Jason Segal was awesome in Knocked Up, so I am sure he is gonna rock out in this!

Yeah apparently with his c**k out, that kind of turns me off to the movie, but I heard this isn't as good as the others are, it's funny but not as good.

I'll see it. This or Forbidden Kingdom, on Sunday.

I saw it. It was good. If you like Apatow then check it out. If you don't then save your money and use it for your $4 per gallon gas.

the biggest draw for me here is Paul Rudd, the fantastic reviews help too

the biggest draw for me here is Paul Rudd

You're gonna be disappointed. He has like 5-10 minutes total of screen time. And Jonah Hill has probably 15 minutes. Bill Hader on the other hand has decent screen time.

Jason Segal, is he the same actor that played the guy that came from a all boys catholic school in the film Dead Man on Campus?

The guy who busts out the door in that room party yelling "Turn that s*** off!!"

Saw this one. Hilarious. Another gem from the Apatow crew.

I just saw the movie and it was okay, it wasn't laugh out loud hilarious but it had it's moments, the trailers touted that it was from the makers of Superbad and 40 Year Old Virgin.

I liked 40 YOV but I hated with a passion Superbad.

Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis were hot by the way and Jason Segal made the right choice in the end with which of the two to stay.

I thought it was really funny. Many of the laughs came from me laughing with everyone else in the audience.

I give it a B+. I'd definitely watch it again.

don't hear that often..

I love superbad ( instant classic ) and 40 year old virgin . I think Knocked up kind of sagged a little bit but still a good standard. I think Sarah Marshall falls into that category.

That's pretty much the way I felt about it too. There were some funny parts, but overall, Sarah Marshall falls way short of The 40 Year old Virgin. I also think Knocked Up was better. This movie just seemed more contrived in parts with regards to the comedy set-ups.

Rating: 7/10

The big debate we had afterwards was whether or not the photograph of Mila flashing her breasts was real or a Photoshop.
