Oh my bad, let me try again.
Go Fox!! Can't w4it for this crossover!!

And the award for Total Insincerity goes to...

I think I preferred your previous post, it was an accurate (but oh-so-obvious) assessment of the situation.

My original post was pointing out that any hopes for a shared universe should completely extinguish unless the FF is a smash hit that exceeds expectations. Not just a solid, well received August movie but a runaway sleeper hit a la Guardians. I wasn't aware that was "obvious" as you so rudely pointed out, excuse me for throwing in my two cents.

Oh please FF doesn't have to be a runaway hit.Your letting you basis show.

While i may not see age of ultron in theatres i can admit final trailer is good.

Many weren't wild about man of steel but that isn't stopping DC shared universe.

You can chalk it up to a "bias" if you'd like, but my reasoning is sound.
If the film comes out and is a modest success, which I think could be the most likely option, Fox would see no pressing need to integrate these unrelated characters into the X-continuity that is chugging along just fine on it's own. They have plans for the X-franchise that don't involve the FFINO, and Fox would be foolish to switch gears entirely and shoehorn a crossover with a different property that had a modest reception.
And yes, MoS received a pretty tepid reaction but it made $700 million dollars. This movie might make half that. Plus WB clearly had plans to kickstart an on screen universe with MoS, those plans were already in motion by the time that film premiered, that is not the case here.
What is your reasoning for this disagreement? Why do you think an onscreen Fox-verse is a likely thing? You have nothing but speculation to base your argument on, so I'm not sure why you're so quick to disagree with me.

Well, this is all conjecture anyway. We don't know what their plans are regarding crossovers.

But of course F4 is going to have to be well-received in order for any potential crossover to be greenlit. That much is obvious. I'm cautiously optimistic but I doubt it will do GoTG numbers, though who's to say they have that as their measuring stick on F4 success and crossover approvals.

The onus is on Fox to deliver the goods with F4. Changes to the source material are a tricky issue but not that crucial if the overall spirit is there.

Even then, Marvel itself does some wacky rewrites.

Look at what is happening in Agents of SHIELD with Sky now being Daisy aka Quake, an Inhuman. On that particular change, Joss Whedon himself said: "We’ve created a different origin for her. There are such rabid fans out there that if we stick to original story points from the comics, they will smell story points from miles away."

And of course the status/origins of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are being altered for Avengers:AoU, with the comics now being retroactively altered to justify the on-screen changes. If that doesn't sound forced, what does!?

With all that in mind, plus the fact Chris Evans is now Captain America, it's no wonder a very different Human Torch was conceived for the F4 reboot so they distance themselves from the two earlier films.

Anyway, none of us has an exact idea what Fox has in mind regarding F4 and crossovers, so it's a case of 'wait and see'.

Obviously Fant4stic has to be successful (critically & financially) in order to cross over with the X-Men... so that is purely a given. That being said... the true test to this is the 2017 Ff film unless Fox gives the cross over a release date before FF2 hit theaters.

Part II!

The rumored FF plot which i think may be legit may answer the question how a X-Men/ff crossover will work. They exsist in seperate universe and FF would
travel to X-Men universe.

One thing to consider if it happens although FF is set In "present" In their universe there is no rule that would say they would have to arrive In "present"
In X-Men universe. So the FF cast could show up In post Apocalypse with
FC cast/newcomers introduced in Apocalypse/Hugh Jackman

I have a sinking feeling that the 2018 event film is gonna be the X-Men/FF Crossover. Because doesn't Infinity War Part 1 come out that year?

FF this year, Apocalypse next year, and the FF sequel is gonna tie into the X-Men somehow.

Unless they squeeze out one more X-Men film in 2017, but that's unlikely.

I look at it differently...

If (and likely when) the FF film tanks, or at least doesn't meet the levels of success that should be expected, Fox will panic a bit.

Sure, they still have the X-Men, which is hugely successful, so what they would likely do, and what I would do, is look to the future and come up with a story where the two groups crossover.

So what I mean is not do the crossover if FF is successful, but do do it if and when it is not. It's kind of a last ditch effort to save the FF.

But the moment they start playing around with different timelines or realities, they would have lost the general audience. No, they need to keep things in one universe.

And it's easy to do that...

While the X-Men movies will continue in the 80's and 90's over (hopefully) the next decade (or longer), the second FF film can be in the OT, post Wolverine's wake-up scene. I've even posted a (somewhat) per canon story that would work..

Simply, Kitty is losing control of her powers. She is starting to lose her ability to keep her molecules together, which means she will die if she doesn't get help.

The OT X-Men of Iceman, Colossus and Rogue (and maybe one or two others) take Kitty to Reed Richards for help.

He won't help for whatever reason, even though he has a machine that can do it. The X-Men get angry and we get an FF versus the X-Men scene, until Doom (or whomever) shows up to offer their help. And away we go...

The details don't matter. What does is that bringing the popular X-Men, and especially the OT cast, into the same story as the FF, in a situation where they would end up battling, but ultimately teaming up, would be a huge media event. That alone would cause an increase in sales, which is really what this will be about.

It would help the FF to fix their status (after the expected, somewhat fail) and would give the GA and fans more OT cast. And by the way, they could easily go with my idea where this group ends up establishing a headquarters in Ireland and create a new X-Men team that could give a new movie title or even a tv series. And this would be Excalibur. They could add in OT Nightcrawler and/or Captain Britain, Meggan and/or Pete Wisdom or Wolfsbane.

I believe most fans would be very happy to see these OT cast members back in something like this, yes?

I would just be so excited if the crossover happened.

i think to many of the OT cast would overshadow the F4 because there is only 4 of them and there is about 8 or more of the OC and even more when people start saying i want this character and that character

there is also a possibility if it is indeed a universe transporting story that there is more flexibility in who they use, enough said!

Unlike Sony Fox does actually have enough characters to make their own universe separated from the Marvel universe. In fact, as much as I want to see Wolverine and Spidey together it makes more sense to have the X-Men in their own universe. They don't always fit with the other Marvel characters in the comics.

Fox could even make this kind of a team-up movie: The Fantastic 4, The X-Men, Deadpool and the Silver Surfer vs Galactus or The Phoenix or BOTH!!

If the rumor is true, Psylocke is in Apocalypse so X Force is in the past ?

she will be at least 16 to 24

if she is a horseman it won't matter and there won't be enough time for development for her to be a seasoned character
