If this is true it doesn't sound like FOX is done with F4 yet

Well, I give FOX points for resilience and stubbornness. I think its been obvious for a while now. Its been 2 years since FF flopped and the they still have the rights. Still think they want to do a spin off. Spin Offs are what they are focusing on right now with their Marvel properties.

If they want to make FF work, they need to get someone who knows the source material. If Marvel Studios can make A-listers out of the Guardians, Ant-Man, and Doctor Strange, not to mention that the MCU is a well-oiled machine, then the only thing holding back Marvel's First Family is the incompetency at Fox. And I'm not even a Fantastic Four fan, but I can see a fan's frustration when they see something amazing like The Incredibles and are left wondering how the Fantastic Four have yet to get proper on-screen treatment.

Just stick them in the world around the time Deadpool takes place.

In fox system big reason for failure of 2015 FF was trank.fox films are fueled by director.of course the problem was when fox saw rough cut they panacked had reshoots of the last third of film under Kinberg's direction and reedited film.Trank was doing his interpation of ultimate FF.Quite honestly they should have just let trank release his version so if it still would have bombed they could blame him for it.obviously they would have been better off with an interpetion of 616 FF.evne kinberg basicly admitted this when he has said post ff that doing dark version of FF was likely a mistake.Hopefully if kinberg is still involved it will only be as producer.

Just reboot X-Men and Fantastic Four at the same time! C'mon Fox! Do it!

Reboot Fantastic 4? 100% likely to happen.

Reboot X-Men? 100% never going to happen.

ff is almost certain to be reboot.I guess they could try to do a more 616 style film with cast but almost certain to be a reboot.

changing timeline with DOFP is closest fox will come anytime soon to rebooting X-Men.fox has shown plenty of times they don't want to do full reboot with
X-men or maybe that is decsion of creative team.

Shawn Madden on twistter says fox wants to focus on fc & apocalypse cast as the X-men in 1990's and deadpool and rest in present day with possibilty of members of original cast popping up in films and tv shows that are present of new timeline.

for all those people who say they are tired of wolverine it seems like after logan they are inless he pops up in film with deadpool they are giving him a rest and future projects are set before he joins the X-men-films set in 1990's or spin-offs in present day where they can work around him being off-screen.

If fox was rebooting wolverine as most popular X-Men would sure be a part of it.now people will get their wish on non-wolverine X-Men films.

There's absolutely no chance that FOX puts out an FF sequel or reboot prior to the expiration of the licensing rights. The cheap rights grab known as FFINO lost upward of $80 million, and another one would be the laughing stock of the internet as soon as a writer is hired.

The franchise is too tainted and way too expensive -its going to cost upwards of $175M - for FOX to show a fully powered team on-screen for 2 hours. FOX's Marvel licensed films are getting cheaper, not more expensive. And no one is watching a Silver Surfer, Dr. Doom or Wyatt Wingfoot spin-off movie divorced from the MCU.

The FF is DUN at FOX.

F4 need to go to marvel. I refuse to take anyone who calls himself "comic book fan" and even contemplates the idea of Fox having another shot with the IP. F4 belong in the MCU. There is no ifs and buts in this scenario.

There is a reason why the geek community is unprecedentedly united on this subject.

Okay, bring it back to Earth. You're not the emperor of geekdom, so whether you take or accept someone else's view of who should do the F4 is irrelevant. Second, the geek community is rarely, if ever, united on everything. If they were, we wouldn't need forums or even a poll like this if we're just gonna agree with one another all the time.

F4 need to go to marvel.

I hope they do go back. Fantastic Four are boring characters and are only important as an IP because of their A+ Rogue Gallery (Which is worth more than them. MCU fans dont actually care about the FF they just want the Avengers to fight their Villain's)

FF should go back so X-MEN can stop being subjecated to the ******** Marvel puts them through by just having an association with FoX.

Give Disney back "a new hope" too they want that bad

I'd just hope for a trade of characters/items/locations in the deal.

Exclusive film rights to

Ability to co-produce with Marvel a new X-MEN Fighting Game & Action RPG game etc

And Co-producing new X-MEN animated series with Marvel

Better comics as well

I hope FoX doesnt do any of that unless Marvel plays ball

Maybe in phase four, we would see the MCU treatment! After Captain Marvel, they don't have anymore iconic characters that have yet to get a MCU movie treatment other than the X-Men and the F4. Like I don't see Spider Woman and She Hulk being as iconic as Spidey and the Avengers. A Namor movie isn't gonna happen due to Universal owning the distribution rights. While Inhumans are probably just on TV now. While the rest like Ghost Rider and Blade would just get their Netflix shows.

FOX Clearly want to keep F4.

Then The CompleX will continue...

If someone can come up with a scenario in which FOX puts another FF film on-screen and doesn't lose tens of millions of dollars, I would love to hear it. If we assume Disney -DISNEY! -handed over X-MEN TV rights to FOX without getting character rights back in exchange, it's still inevitable that the characters return on or before the reversion date. The franchise is a bad combo of too toxic and too expensive.

Well they have yet to make that Silver Surfer movie. So it's not just the Fantastic Four that they have try to cling on to.

That's very small thinking. The brand is so big they can do whatever they want.

A Black Widow movie at this point would make more than an X-MEN film.

A Rocket & Groot movie without the other GotG.

They can just pick characters to promote if they wanted. I'd like to see a Red Wolf & Lobo movie.

Elsa Bloodstone etc they have the Midas touch they can do whatever

It doesn't matter if they will make $ off it. At this point their just holding it because they can.

I hope they trade so X-MEN can get something good back in return. These two TV shows ain't it.

If not then hopefully the rights revert in 7 years but it'll be funny if they reboot again.

Maybe FoX will ask Marvel to produce it in their MCU universe? That'll be funny because MCU fans hate Fox and probably rather have no MCU movies ever then have to share with FoX.

There's no small thinking with what I said. They have used all their a-listers in the movies. While Black Widow getting a solo movie is taking forever to happen. While a Groot/Raccoon movie would just be a Gotg spin off.

Now whether they could make an obscure character from the comics like Gotg really popular in the movies in the future is another question.

Captain America, Iron Man, Thor weren't A List before 2008 that's why Marvel had the rights in the first place. Let's not use revisionist history.

"A Lister's" don't matter GotG made more than X-MEN in 2014 with ZERO "A-Listers"

Marvel has the Midas touch.

They make who they want into a A-Lister.

X-MEN has so called "A-Listers" but they focus every movie on Xavier, Magneto, & Mystique.

It's not what you have, but how you use it

I don't see what you are babbling about that. Cptain America, Thor, Iron Man were important to Marvel even before the movies came out. They might not be as popular as Wolverine or Hulk back in the early 2000s. But in the Marvel world, they are next in line after X-Men, Spidey, F4 and Hulk.

Captain America, Thor and Iron Man were significant characters in the comics, yes. But not to the mainstream (though casual viewers have heard of Thor as a god from Norse mythology).

Even after all this time, we don't know much about the X-Men characters on screen except for Xavier, Magneto and maybe Mystique. The others have not been fleshed out at all emotionally. Even Wolverine has not been given much depth, he's just been made into a moody loner for the most part.

That's why they didn't have movie deals or solo films in 2008, even though the characters pre date X-Men?

If Marvel had its way the first Marvel movie would be Spider-Man followed by X-Men.

What they've done without them is remarkable

Like I said, Cap, Thor and Iron are next in line after the original big four. I grew up with videogames and I knew who were Iron Man and Cap. Whether they would have received a solo film before X-Men, Spidey, F4 and Hulk if they got the rights is another question.

Any person who still insists on Fox keeping the IP after everything they have done and how they have dragged F4 in the mud is not in his right mind. Plain and simple. That's why there is no preson who does hat :yay:

It's as much an one-sided argument as "should there be an end to Global Warming". And even more than that!
