Yeah I know :(. When he went down there and they split up I figured it would happen to one of them.
I haven't seen much of Fringe. But I like [blackout]that guy from when he did Band of Brothers. And in the bunch I have seen of Fringe, liked him in this also. I thought that would give him a little stronger plot armor to survive that encounter...[/blackout] :csad:

Well I mean technically the guy is still working :) looks like he'll be around even if its as a bad guy for a bit.

Technically yes. But. It is going to have to end sooner rather than later.

Wow what an awesome opener. Anyone else like WTF when Nina kissed Broyles? This season is gonna be awesome though. Cant wait for Nimoy to return and to find out what that soldier was looking for.

Anyone else catch the homages to the X-Files?

Mulder on the TV, and the reference to the FBI's "X designation" during Broyle's hearing.

Oh, and RIP Agent Francis. :(

Broyles has served through 6 wars? Just exactly how old is he??

i was thinking that as well. afganistan, iraq, gulf war, (maybe they're counting bosnia nonsense of the 90s, idk)

that little comment may come into play.

My theory:
Season 2 so far has taken place completely in this "alternate" reality where the WTC still stands, where Nina and Broyles have a romance, and 6 wars have passed during Broyles' life.

But this Walter is still the one that stole Peter, right?

I think Nina and Broles have been taken over by their respective alternates. That's what Olivia is supposed to stop.

Easily.

I'm only 35, and I was a part of the original Desert Storm. Had I stayed in, I'd likely be serving in the new one.

Also, as far as official wars go, there were only two: WWI and WWII, where Congress issued a Declaration of War. But as far as military members are concerned, we currently have two: The Iraq War, and the Afghani War.

Also, we don't need to know about it as a public for anything to be a war in a soldier's experience. Many overseas wars have been fought with our personnel involved, without the American public's general knowledge.

Just watched the season premiere! Awesome start for what is gonna be a great season! Peter has really stepped up, Walter is great as always and I like Agent Jessup. Can't wait to find out more about Olivia's meeting with William Bell.

I can see that, sort of,
though isn't there only 1 Peter? He came from the other dimension right? The one from this dimension died as a kid? I can see Broyles though counting wars that occur in both dimensions.

Can someone explain how the assassin tried to kill Olivia the first time?

Y'know I just realized that I forgot to look for The Observer this week! Did anyone spot him?

I didn't.

But a great episode overral. I'm mad that they didn't have the longer running time like the first season had. Will that ever continue again? Because that was great.

And I loved Walter still trying to make the custard for Peter's birthday.

I still think Howe should be nominted for an emmy.

I loved the season 2 premier , what really struck me in this episode was Joshua Jacksons character progression from the first season up till now, esp that end scene which he had with Broyles.

I'm not feeling Olivia at all. What bad casting, really bad acting

I feel complete opposite. JJ Abrams is GREAT at finding new talent, and Ana Torv is no exception.
