Fox, The Infamous Studio, At It Again!

You also forgot that if someone sits watches an entire movie and they think it sucks, the movie theater doesn't give you the money back

That's the risk you take on a product in which satisfaction is subjective.

I wish I had enough patience to read the last page....oh well.

Ugh, I liked X3 the first time I saw it. Two years later it sucked alot. The diologue is horrible. And Wolverine does teamwork.

"It's what we all want, son."

"No dad, it's what you want."

Good God, I saw that coming a million miles away.

And Wolverine's last line was, "Well done, Furball."

Huh?

Vintage Zak Penn for ya... and don't think for a second that's the last of it because he is still attached to Avengers...

and all of you folks complaining...save for probably me and Fat Tonie will be salivating in line to go see '20th Century Fox presents an X-Men production: X-Men Origins (that means prequel) Wolverine aka We know the first 3 films were about Wolverine but what's one more??....cha ching$$$$'

I haven't spent theater money on a Fox film in 3 years. I doubt this habit will change before Avatar comes out.

I do disagree with Nell when he stated that "Fox doing X3 was a way to beat Superman Returns is not rational thinking."

Let me say that I've moved on from the whole X3 debate. Everyone on the X3 forums knows my feelings of it and while I still share disappointment for it, the anger isn't there anymore simply because we all have moved on. The film is what it is and nothing can change it, all I can do to continue expressing my disappointment is to not spend any money of Fox's shows, dvd's, or theatrical releases.

But I do disagree with Nell on that statement. Fox wasn't going to do X3 until Singer jumped ship to Superman Returns. Had Singer did Logan's Run instead we probably wouldn't have had an X3.

I just can't find enough reason to care about Fox anymore honestly.

I love what FX has given me in terms of TV....Nip/Tuck, The Shield, Rescue Me, and Sons of Anarchy are all fantastic shows...

Ive noticed if a show on FOX is successful on its own...it gets left alone.....if its struggling, that's where you get the PTB trying to get involved and make changes....Im sure if Rothman showed up on the Sons of Anarchy set and suggested something, Ron Perlman would probably eat his liver

I really, really hope your right. I really liked that show, but who knows how Rothman will handle the TV division.

Can someone explain to me how people fail upwards at Fox.

I think it's because anyone else worth a damn in a position already has a better job elsewhere....I'm starting to hear that working for Fox lately is like working for Wal-Mart

Yeah, but you can't tell me that they haven't heard his reputation, why promote him to an area where Fox actually produces quality watching material? Hell, I didn't even concider FX really as a part of Fox given how much I liked SOA and Nip/Tuck.

Since their shows are successful, FX is pretty much free to conduct business as they see fit....they are run as a country unto themselves...Rothmans new "job" is simply to oversee tv production at the Fox network

Okay, just as long as he doesn't F up development of the new SOA season...

They are set to start filming season 2 at the end of April....considering how season 1 ended...I can't wait

Re: the news that prompted the making of this thread...Fox effs up their eville plan already! :lmao:

Fox Screws Up 'Slumdog Millionaire' DVD

There was a bad batch of Slumdog Millionaire DVDs released without the special features advertised on the box. Missing are "The Making Of" featurette and the "Deleted Scenes" among other promised content. Needless to say, a lot of buyers are complaining to Amazon about it. The web seller has added this note:

"DVD Alert: We are aware that special features were missing from a number of Slumdog Millionaire DVDs. Fox has set up a hotline telephone number (1-888-223-4FOX) for those consumers who may have purchased a version that does not contain special features. Upon calling the hotline, these consumers will be able to have their disc replaced for one containing special features. Fox regrets any inconvenience this has caused."

Or maybe they just mixed up the rental DVDs with the retail ones? :oldrazz: Clearly karma is telling them it's not the best idea....

If so, karma's been busy. This has not been a good year for Fox... and now, the X-Men Origins leak.

Oh, Fox.... failure is really in your blood, isnt it?

But Wolverine looked like pure **** anyway, so who cares?

DBE leaked long before it reached theaters too, I think. Fox needs to get a handle on its employees.

People who have seen it on the X boards seem to think it's pretty good.
