Aw, someone beat me to it :(.

so their making a movie of fraggle rock, i hope they don't make it cgi & just stick with the puppets from the tv series.

All we need now is an actual sequel to Labyrinth and the circle will be complete...How bad ass would that be? Dark Crystal, Labryinth and Fraggle Rock all up on the big screen again? Well sure it would be Fraggle Rock's first big screen adventure but still...

You would think that with the success of MirrorMask they would be pursuing the rights to make a sequel to Labryinth again. I know money was a factor in them not purchasing back their own rights to it in the past. Perhaps if Dark Crystal makes money then they will try again...any thoughts?

Does David Bowie still have another turn as the Goblin King in him? Maybe as a broken and tattered shell of what he once was, Jareth fallen from grace and favor in his kingdom?

As for the Fraggle Rock movie...how much of it should be centered on "Outerspace"?

I hope not but just maybe half the movie, or less. We've seen enough puppet-human jokes with the Muppets. FG was all about their strange little world, and Uncle Matt was the link to the humans in little segments. Might just be me, but I'd rather see a movie of them doing their thing in their own world. *Shrug*

I'm bringing this Thread back from the Dead.

Fraggle Rock is Coming to the Big Screen
Source: Variety
May 13, 2008

The Weinstein Company will turn the Jim Henson series "Fraggle Rock" into a live-action musical feature, reports Variety.

Cory Edwards, who directed the animated Hoodwinked! for TWC, will helm the picture and write the screenplay. The Jim Henson Co. will produce and TWC will distribute.

Just like the series, the film will be populated by a mix of human characters and Fraggle Rock puppets. The movie will take the core characters Gogo, Wembley, Mokey, Boober and Red outside of their home in Fraggle Rock, where they interact with humans, which they think are aliens.

The show premiered on HBO in 1983, ran five seasons and was broadcast in more than 80 countries.
