Friday The 13th Video Game

Is the game a sucess? I mean like is it selling well and are most critic/fan reviews positive? Gun Media have said more dlc and updates depend on sucess and well, there's much potential to keep the game going fresh and new for a long tine.

Well Gun anticipated 30,000 players on opening night and were hit with over 75,000, so it's deff exceeding their early expectations. Time will tell if more jump on now that a lot of those early issues with the console versions are being ironed out.

As for the critics, this isn't a game made for them, so what they say is irrelevant. This is a F13 game made for F13 fans by F13 fans.

Some screenshots I took last night

Bit the bullet and spent a bit more than I should have but I have this downloading now. :D

Got to play after updating/downloading the patch.

Had a few sessions... still no turn as Jason... but still having a blast.

No betrayals yet. So far... I haven't tried repairing anything... cars... I tend to arm myself and run between houses, locking doors and setting traps along the way...

Quick play sessions slowing down, but were within seconds of searching for sessions when I started playing, nice to see that moving along.

ETA:
I need a Pamela skin.

As a long time gamer and even longer horror fanatic and despite issues with the game servers and less than great graphics this game is one of the funnest multiplayer player experiences I've had!

The graphics are great but most animations are Mass Effect Andromeda level

I have no ****ing idea where anything is on any map.

I did manage to escape my first time just because someone had a car already fixed and happened to be pretty close to me. :p

First time I survived, I just hid in a dark cabin that I fortified and time ran out. 2nd time, I ran to the cops with 2 other players

I've done all the escapes. Car, boat, Cops, and the time running out. Though I never just sit and wait for the time to run out. That's boring. I'd rather get killed by Jason in a chase.

Only escape I haven't done yet is the boat, mostly because if Jason notices the boat on the move you couldn't possibly be more screwed. Have yet to see anyone manage to kill Jason yet.

I agree. When I waited it was because I went to the cops area after the countdown but they didn't show up, so I went to the nearest cabin and fortified utility they finally showed up but then time ran out .

I enjoy getting killed by Jason most of the time when he does brutal or unexpected things like grab me and instantly throw me out a window or leaves my body all twisted.

I also get great joy when I manage to at least stun Jason, kick out of being grabbed or doing an action move like jumping out a window as he breaks into a cabin.

As Jason, it feels so good when everyone runs away and their characters sound scared as I walk around as Part VII Jason! If I don't kill everyone but at least injur most of them..I'm satisfied!

I saw Tommy Jarvis kill Jason last night after some team work. A counselor was by the door in a cabin and stood there as Jason broke the door and walked right into a bear trap. Tommy then ran around the cabin from the back and shot Jason on the back of the head. I stumbled. He would just be stunned but mope, he dead!

The first time I got killed, he teleported behind me and in a few seconds grabbed me then punched a hole in my chest.

I had no idea what to expect up to that point. :D

I'm still not completely sold on this game.
It just seems like something that would get old extremely fast,
especially if playing as Jason is as few and far in between as people are saying.

The fun part of the game is basically this.

Would u like to experience the feeling of being in an F13 film? If yes, then the game is worth it. Nothing further need be asked or stated. It's not some competitive level grinding MP title. It's there to answer the question of rather or not you could survive an 80's slasher flick or would u make a better Jason than Jason.

Some ppl I played with last night tried to kill me. They were able to knock my mask off and grab the sweater, but they activated the sweater stun too early and I killed the chick who was using it.

He prob wasn't dead then. There's a series of events you need to do, in order to actually kill Jason.

The game goals; kill counselors or escape the camp are simple. But the gameplay and atmosphere make it so replayable for me. Plus as an F13 fan you love it even more.

Considering it only has three maps, I'm very surprised that every single match seems fresh. I've played other games that had ten or more maps but they all felt the same after a few rounds.

Just the panic and rush from trying to get something to defend yourself and try to get some start on getting out of there makes this game so much fun. Sometimes even just dying early and spectating is fun if there's smack talk. The last game I played had one guy running from Jason and he never shut up the whole time. It was hilarious.

The intensity is awesome. The main or Jason's theme suddenly kicks in and I'm like " who there?" Then the screen has a VCR static and I start running around in circles because it means Jason is near.

If you're Jason and start hearing cops on a radio or police sirens by the road or someone trying to start a car/boat, it's like oh hell nah

Can't wait for for the offline mode. My Internet is off until maybe tomorrow and I got the addition feel for this game. So maybe next time I'll have the offline mode handy
