Frozen 2

Double Toasted speculated that maybe the villains are other elementals who are trying to force Elsa to join them.

Maybe Elsa will show up in an MCU movie one day! Perhaps when they get the X-Men.
Elsa isn't a X-Men character and why would they need her anyway. There's like more than a dozen major X-Men characters that have yet to get a great film portrayal and you want Elsa to appear when the X-Men joins the mCu?

Why stop at Elsa? I think the Genie, Sneezy, Merlin and the Hunchback should all join the X-Men.

How come Elsa doesn't do an ice slide like Killer Frost, or like Iceman is supposed to do, but never seems to be able to in the X-Men films? She could've used that to get over the waves.
Not every character with ice powers needs to do an ice slide.

For example, not every ice type Pokemon can do an ice slide.

Makes no sense though :oldrazz: If she can make a whole entire ice castle out of thin air, why can't she make a simple slide :funny:

I don't think she's trying to escape that place but rather testing her ice powers.

Her parents did die in a storm, so maybe this is her way of dealing with it and confronting her fear of the sea?

She can easily do an ice slide if its on her mind, but of course that would have looked easy and gave Elsa less challenge dealing with those waves.

We should just have a fighting game series of nothing but Disney characters. It will be epic homeslice.
I think they already have a game like that for mobile. Disney Heroes Battle Mode or some such.

‘Frozen 2’ On Fire: Most-Watched Animated Film Trailer Of All Time

Did we want to watch a trailer? Yes, we watched a trailer. Disney’s Frozen 2 to be specific, a whole 116.4M of us in the teaser’s first 24 hours.

That makes the pic the most-watched trailer of all-time for an animated film, besting the 113.6M views clocked for Incredibles 2.

There is something to be said about how online trailer views translate into B.O. numbers — at least at this point in time. We saw this with New Line’s It which turned into a hit with a record horror pic debut of $123.4M. Incredibles 2 owns the best domestic debut ever for an animated pic with $182.6M. It would not be a shocker if Frozen 2 notches the best Thanksgiving 5-day opening of all-time, unseating its 2013 original which took in $93.5M from Wednesday to Sunday.

Disney is racking up the 24-hour trailer-view records: Avengers: Endgame notched the-all-time record back in December with 289M views, followed by the Thanksgiving day drop of The Lion King which drew 224.6M views, ranking third behind Avengers: Infinity War (238M views).

Per RelishMix, all these views aren’t organic. As is typical for studios, autoplay is built into these figures (meaning when the trailer plays automatically when you log onto Facebook or another social platform). Studios will pay for the trailer to be placed and targeted to audiences. The official YouTube trailer of Frozen 2 has clocked 13.6M views and on Film Select’s YouTube page it has pulled in another 10M.

What do people think will be the box office numbers for this film? And where will it end up on the all-time highest grossing films list?

Tough to say. I can't see it doing less than a billion. But it is difficult to recreate the magic that the first one did domestically. I think what we have seen, there could be some decent growth in China.

They're going to need a big showstopping song like "Let it Go" again to have a similar impact. That transcended the movie and captured the imagination of thousands around the world. It's not just about having a good song that is memorable like say, "How Far I'll Go" from Moana or "When Will My Life Begin" from Tangled. It has to be one which becomes a phenomenon and almost describes what's on people's hearts and captures the zeitgeist.

I don't know if it will do that or not. Can lightning strike twice? I'd say it's almost impossible to recreate another song like that for this franchise.

Elsa built an ice staircase before she even really knew what she was doing. Not much difference between that and an ice slide.

It's early, but I suspect this will break the 5-day opening record for Thanksgiving, easily. The question is by how much. If it weren't a holiday, I'd say the hype is so high it could do $200 million in 5 days. It'll certainly cross $150 in that time... I think.

Disney moved up the release date from pre-Thanksgiving Wednesday to the Friday before. I think it will come close to Incredibles 2 o.w. numbers (if not exceed it) and then exceed $210 million by Thanksgiving.
