FullScreen VS WideScreen?

i don't care. and whats the difference? besides widescreen and full screen. a better picture? crystal clarity?

I don't mind either one. But I mostly buy widescreen now. I grew up watching Star Wars in fullscreen. So I brought those in fullscreen.

Widescreen any day of the week. Why fullscreen still exists is beyond me.

I used to like Full Screen, but Widescreen is so much better.

Besides, Widescreen actually feels like a movie. Full Screen doesn't show everything and it feels like it's just on TV. :down

Fullscreen shouldn't even exist.
It's so f-ing pointless to even offer it.
If I ever get a film in Fullscreen as a gift, I ask the gift-giver for the reciept. I refuse to own fullscreen films.
I'm different I'll take Widescreen if I have no choice. Those black lines are so @#$%ing annoying. Full screen all the way.

They aren't that annoying. Just get over it and watch the movie the way it's meant to be seen.

whats wron g with full screen?

i cant stand wide screen, those big black bars are an anoyence after a wile.

Widescreen.

However, I prefer to use fullscreen if my TV is small.

"Oooh the black bars are soooo annoying!" So what, so is watching a movie with the sides cut off so you can't see anything that's happening.

That's why I support the original aspect ratio. If it was shot 1.37:1 then I want to see it that way. If it was shot 2.39:1 then I want to see it that way.

I saw a High Def tv with an HD-DVD playing on it at the mall yesterday...meh.

Widescreen. You suck if you enjoy fullscreen more. That is not an opinion. It is fact.

I feel dumb. I bought The Fountainhead on DVD a couple of days ago and was like "FULL SCREEN!? DAMNIT!"

...Yeah, its from 1948. Widescreen wasn't available to them yet.

Looks like you can't enjoy movies like Casablanca, Citizen Kane, The Maltese Falcon, and every Marx Brothers movie because it's not widescreen :whatever:

fullscreen is for people who dont give a **** about movies

Even though movies were fullscreen before The Robe and How to Marry a Millionaire

So are you saying that the directors of movies that came out before the widescreen format was invented didn't give a **** about movies?

When fullscreen was the only thing available it was acceptable, but now it is just there because people can't stop complaing about "black bars". Those bars are just unused space on the screen. If they bother you buy a cheap widescreen t.v. and you problem is solved. Yes 2:23.1 movies still show small bars but they are less intrusive.

I hate the fact that they're still making flipper discs. I thought that trend was over, but I got Little Miss Sunshine and it's a two-sided disc. Pretty lame. Myabe I should draw the movie logo on the fullscreen side.
