Future plans for Smallville. The good & bad...

I'm currently reading "Red Son" and you know what? Those bastards changed the story!

No, seriously! Clark is a commie, and Lois is married to Lex!

I say we start writing letters NOW!

Isn't "Red Son" great? The ending is really neat, I think.

"Red Sun" is a great story arc that is an "Elseworld" tale It's not apart of the current continuity in the superman mythology.

As for the Lois & Clark issue again that's a load of bull**** , Unless In (Superman : The Man of Steel in 2009 the sequel to Superman returns) In the movie Lois re-discovers that Clark Kent is Superman and they devlop Lois & Clark's relationship into what it is in the mythology . Then I see no reason why smallville can't have Lois & Clark in a romantic relationship right now (without Red-K involed) . Instead going back to the same damn Clana crap from season 1 all over again.

I agree x10000000000000000000000000000000000

I watch this show for the CLOIS (clark & lois) factor. Lord knows they ****ed it up in Superman Returns. I at least enjoy the chemistry between Durance/Welling.

Crimson's ratings were pretty good for the show, that should have signaled to TPTB that fans are ready for Clois. If not a full on romance at least have Clark fall in love with Lois and her either be in denial or oblivious to it.

My thing is if Gough is going to have the nerve to say we were here trying to tell McG about 60 years of Superman history and how you cant go against that then he needs to start following what he is trying to tell others.

Dont you know that a sarcastic sense of humour is a lost art form in these forums. :cwink:

Ok this is a load of Bull**** (so we can get Doomsday) but not Welling in the damn suit WTF is that. Every Superman fan that watches this show is waiting to see tom don the damn suit and fly .

But not every Smallville fan, I did a poll on Ksite for fun and over half of them were 'relieved' he wont ever don the \S/ suit.

I don't like the idea of Doomsday and all because I have a feeling they wont be done right

I have a feeling the only way they could do Doomsday is a guy with FOTW powers.

They admited they dont have the budget to give Phil Morris green MM makeup. How the heck do they expect to create Doomsday?

I dont think she discovered it in the first place in the new movie version but they'll definately have to dive deeper into Lois and Superman's relationship and deal with alot of stuff in 09.

Thats BS if you dont have the budget to paint green make-up on a person then you shouldn't be allowed to bring those people over.

They also don't have the budget to make clark fly ever episode. They said MM green from was also verr cheesy as well [which is very tru].

Well in MM's case, its not so bad because they always kept him as 'John' and MM is a shapeshifter.

But with Doomsday, theyll have to completely reinvent the character.

I can bet it will probably be some jacked up WWE wrestler in a mask and costume.

Not true, have you seen the prosthetic makeup work on alot of good sci-fi shows; some with budgets comparable and less to SV. It could look great.

There is probably an average of 15 episodes per season where someone or multiple persons learn or see something or do something they shouldn't, and for no real reason that is plausibly realistic, they "FORGET" what happened by episode's end...It's nauseating.

Thats the worst part. Especially when Clark uses his powers on Lex and Lex coughs it up to cheesy explanations that defy logic and intelligence.

They said in the interview it would cost to much, not me.

I don't see what the big deal is? Smallville has minimally altered the orgins of Superman/Clark Kent. Anytime there's a live version take on a comic character there will be some changes made because what might work for the comics doesn't always work the same in live action media. Be sides who wants to watch a show or a movie that follows the comics word for word.:whatever:

You don't really think Lex truly believes these explanations. That's the reason why Lex has such a high level of curiousity when it comes to the mystery of Clark.

He wouldnt need to be 'curious' by this point. He should know. He even experienced Clark's super strength twice (but coughed it up to Hypnotism giving him superpowers.....)

Lex experiments on freaks, dealt with Brainiac and has even encountered Kryptonians... he doesnt come off as very intelligent, especially with this much Clark evidence thrown in his face.

It just seems like he shurgs off any conclusions.

Lex should just punch clark one day, and then he will know.

The funny thing is Lois punches Clark all the time and she doesnt know.

He also thought he knew for a fact that Clark was super-powered before he tested him in Mortal, but when he saw the video tape of Clark getting cut by the lasers and after he punched Clark himself and made him bleed Lex was left confused about Clark's secret.

god almighty they set out their ideas at we pick at 2 or 3 of an overly good bunch- it doesn't mean its going to happen. personally i'm enthusiastic, this has always been elseworlds and their 'take' on the mythology should be something to look forward to
