Hey guys. Haven't been in here much.
My healing is going really good, actually got into the gym today for the first time in a month. I have a little bit of nerve damage in my inner thigh and knee, but it's getting better. The incision itself isn't as bad as I thought it would be, the skin is already healed over and the inside of my leg is pretty much healed too.

And I also had a major life change over this weekend. I got a job in Denver and I'm moving out there sometime next month. So lots of crazy stuff has been happening, but things are looking up.

No, he's in grad school in Boston. It's not a permanent thing, at least Denver isn't. I'm gonna ask to transfer eventually. This kinda works out okay now. I don't wanna have him worry about me while I'm there and me be a distraction.

I was having dinner with a mixed group tonight, including a significant contingent of gay guys that know me. Not as friends, but acquaintances.

Around dessert time, one of them referred to me, offhand, that I was one of the few "straight guys" at the table.

Really? WTF? I didn't say anything, but really? Am I losing my mojo? Am I right to feel perturbed by this?

Hehe, I just realized this is kind of the reverse thing that happens when a straight guy gets all mad because everybody around him assumes he's gay.

So last night, I got a fortune cookie that had the phrase "observe all men" in it. I quoted it on Facebook and cracked a joke about the cookie wanting me to be gay. It got a few Likes and laughs and that was the end of that. Today, my mom logged on to her FB account, went through her news feed, and saw my joke. She was a little confused at first, so she asked me what it meant. I told her it was just a joke. Still, she asked me if I was gay.

So I came out to her.

SURPRISE, MOFOS! I was in the closet all along!
