I don't want Gal to look big, just a bit more athletic and enough to not be thought of as skinny. That's definitely achievable in the time frame.

Gotta be honest, you sound like one of those 'be all you can be' type motivational seminar speakers. Here's an indisputable FACT for you - some people DO have certain physical limitations in terrms of achieveable gains and no amount of 'positive thinking' b.s. gets past that. Not without the marvel of modern chemistry.

Sorry not to be the wing beneath your wings. But you need a dose of reality given that you're talking down to folk with that oh so condescending attitude.

Nope, it's not an indisputable fact at all, because people overcome limitations all the time. There is research behind everything I'm saying. If you take the time to read, you will see all types of articles & studies correlating to the brain and how it can be used to help overcome physical limitations if you are able to break down the mental barriers holding you back. How a positive demeanor & a mind focused on achieving rather than limits can allow one to accomplish more. If you think the mind & body are so separate that the former can have no effect on the another, you're seriously ignorant.

Also, how am I talking down to someone by telling them they should be more open minded? And wouldn't talking down on someone include trying to determine what they'll achieve from the work THEY'RE putting in? I didn't know hoping for the best & saying everybody doesn't have to abide by baseless generalizations was being condescending.

Next time you chime in make sure you're on the right side, friend. :cwink:

But this is all trivial anyway, I'm not here to lecture you on things you should be old enough to research and look up. Moral of the story: don't use generalizations to say what someone else will or will not achieve. It just makes you look like an ignorant hater.

Now, I'm done with this.

A pound a weak of muscle is realistic for the first couple weeks.

Dude, if you don't lift, don't comment man.

Bro man dude, I do lift

I can say you don't lift too with no proof what so ever too to try to make a point but I prefer not to talk from my ass

20 pounds in 6 months is not impossible

Gal did post a photo of herself flexing a few months ago where her arm looked a bit bigger than it was in previous photos from various red carpet premieres. I suppose we'll all just have to wait for another, more recent, image of her to be released.
As a woman with naturally stick arms and teeny wrists, I was not that impressed with that photo. My arms look larger just lifting them above my head.

But I've had at least a year for my body to slowly gain mass. It's been a fight even for 10 lbs, and I have digestive issues so I can't eat that much at one time.

It all depends on where your starting from. The smaller you are to begin with, obviously, the greater proportion of weight you can put on, that's just maths.
For a normal-sized man.

I used to hate it when women used to tell me they wished they had my naturally skinny body type. My friend told me that anyone with half a brain would look at my wrists and know I'm not MEANT to carry that much weight. They're 5.5 inches around - measure that out and see how small that is. Children have larger wrists than mine.

Even I ate like Michael Phelps (which I can't) and power-lifted, I would not get a stocky, muscular Julie Scanlon body. I'm just not meant to.

Henry Cavill does not have a "lean" body type. What we're talking about for Gal would be the equivalent of JGL getting up to 200 lbs. Guy's body is clearly not meant for that.

Again, for a normal-sized man.

There is some truth to what DA_Champion is saying, although I think he's gone the other direction because Gal for sure does not weigh 110 lbs. :oldrazz: I currently weigh 120, I look juuust a bit larger and I'm 5 inches shorter.

I get where you are coming from Anita, and are clearly working against some hard circumstances, but you do seem to be putting effort at pushing through them.

I believe Gal has held her frame at its model/F&F state for quite some time on purpose with diet and no heavy resistance movements, where-as now she has a new body shape purpose and the training + diet needed to reach a different physique. With her frame, intake double her normal calories, and daily resistance type training Twight is known for, she will know doubt reach the goals they intend for her... that is the important part, and since we have not seen huge gains on her I am sure they are not looking for a seriously jacked she-hulk physique. But there still is plenty of time for whatever their final tuning stage will bring her by the time shooting starts on her suited up. She could even be scheduled for clothed shots for the first half of shooting while she continues to train...we just don't know all the details to know the final outcome.

I do certainly not believe she will reach my sister's style of physique in the time she has and with her height/body-type. Julie did some physique shows in the midst of going the power lifting route as well.

I don't think Twight is expected to work miracles.

Why must it be a miracle? Based on the other WW candidates, we were always going to get a slender WW. If Snyder wanted to get someone like Carano or someone of similar body frame, he would have. WW will come down to characterization/script/Gal. WW coming off as a badass is pretty much a given with Snyder.

Now move along before I punch yo eye out and put in mines. :BA

Yeah, Cavill is a lucky bastard. Although he has a slim bone structure, as evidenced by his moderately small wrists (though not as small as I initially thought), his metabolism appears to be slower than that of your typical small framed type. I say this because he was actually a bit overweight as a child. Cavill is also wide/broad shouldered. It's, in fact, the combination of his somewhat small but wide frame + his genetic inclination for weight gain that allows him to achieve and maintain such an impressive "superhero" physique.

I find it to be slightly unimaginative. It's a suit of armour, with bits left off. It doesn't quite mesh together as a client design, in my opinion.

Its simple but effective. And it looks great on Ms. Alexander. If we can say the same thing about wondies outfit I'll be satisfied.

You may be but I'm not. You refuse to accept that some people do have physical limitations and I'm the ignorant one? Having a PMA can make you achieve goals that you may never have thought possible but there are just some physical barriers dictated by genetics that aren't going to get broken through natural means, using sheer willpower. Its science. Its fact. Its realism. Its basic common sense (something I think, in my humble opinion, you need a dose of). There are things that an 'open mind' just cannot overcome.

Maybe next time you chime in you should take your head out of the clouds and get reacquainted with Terra Firma.

I like Sif's outfit except for the black leggings, which are dissonant with the rest of the outfit.

WW's outfit will probably be form fitting and especially more modern, than just a basic suit of armor.

Its simple but effective. And it looks great on Ms. Alexander. If we can say the same thing about wondies outfit I'll be satisfied.

Indeed. Sometimes with these suits going simpler can be the best route. In Sif's case, I thought the new suit for TDW was better because there was less going on than with the one in the first film.

For WW, I think it needs to be simple yet believable. Most importantly, it needs to look like something a warrior could comfortably move around in.

I think I am the only one more interested in Gal's fight choreography training than I am with her figure. SIGH

You know who's a lucky bastard of an actor? Christian Bale. Dude can do whatever the hell he wants with his body and it'll happen. Be emaciated for an insomniac or druggie? Sure! Turn around and be jacked for Batman? No problem!

I'm not even sure what his natural body structure is, he changes it up so much! :funny:

He's insane, don't get me wrong, but not everyone can pull off what he did between The Machinist and Batman Begins, even if they wanted to and tried their darnedest.

Yup, his ability to physically yo-yo from role to role is impressive to say the least. From AP (which is where the whole transformation path originates. Lithe and ripped), Equilibrium (like AP only with an increase in muscle mass and slight loss of definition), the Machinist (emaciated), Batman Begins (close to his shape in Equilibrium, only with a rounder face because of the dirty bulk needed after the Machinist), Warsaw Dawn (nowhere near Machinst level of thin but back to thin nonetheless), the Dark Knight (muscle mass regained only.this time no dirty bulk and the trademark cheekbones retained, unlike in BB), the Fighter (lost muscle mass from certain areas but not full-on thin, as befitting the look of a boxer on drugs), the Dark Knight Rises (looking far healthier than he did in the Fighter), American Hustle (actually going fat for once). Its nothing short of staggering.

I still look at his Patrick Bateman and think 'man, just what would have happened to his career if they had gone ahead with the AP movie starring Dicaprio?' what if he didnt keep up that year long Bateman regimine after being replaced?' Thankfully he knew enough about the movie business to hang in there and not let himself go, so to speak and the rest is history.

I think I am the only one more interested in Gal's fight choreography training than I am with her figure. SIGH

Is it too much to ask for both? :woot:

I want her to have a good physique, not a bodybuilder, something athletic, with good muscle definition.

But, just as much, I do want her fight scenes to be amazing.

Hopefully we'll get it all!

That's a nice platitude, but form fitting body suits and body armor are not "extremes", they're "styles".

One could argue Sif had both and she looked fine so I don't see what you mean honestly.
