She is very protective of my man Batfleck

:drl:

And that actually looks like Stuntfleck under the cowl. :hehe:

Can someone tell me why some people think that Gal is doing "bad acting" when she replies to Etta Candy by saying "From where I come from.. it's called Slavery ?"

I found her acting in that scene to be good ?

 No idea. I also thought her delivery was just as it should be there.

How he just sits there with his serious bat expression is killing me. :funny:

The tone she say it does sound awkward to me. Bad acting or not...I can't say because the real question is what were Patty's directions and what did the script said.

She doesn't really sound that different to when she would say something like that in real life as Gal. So are people suggesting Gal sounds awkward speaking in real life then?

I wanted her to sound more foreign and not typically American. The more she sounds like Gal, the better.

that is an awkward moment...she is an alien in the men's world. she doesn't know there's such occupation as Secretary and the function of handshaking. if anything, Gal's acting is more than serviceable.

she's most comfortable and appear to be naturally fierce yet graceful in the fight scenes, because that's something she's at home with.

I too found it a bit awkward/cringe-worthy..and I think Gal's acting is fine otherwise. Maybe when the scene plays out in it's entirety it will come off as better. On a side note, I found Ben Affleck's acting in the JL trailer, after Barry says "I'm in"..and Bruce responds with "You are?" to be equally as cringy..but it's all about context.

Bruce's line probably comes some time after being smashed into a wall by Arthur Curry…He's probably just relieved the next meta doesn't throw him through a warehouse wall and is actually enthusiastic about…you know…saving the world >_>

I don't have a problem with it. I think it's funny and hope there's more of that fish out of water type humour with our Gal entering man's world.

Same here and some of the set pics suggested that Diana will be interacting with Etta in more scenes so I hope there will be more of this fun dynamic between the two of them.

It's actually perfect if you really break it down. Right after Etta Candy explains to her what her job description is, Diana gives Steve a glance of disapproval before delivering her line. While she delivers her line, she tilts her head forward and looks straight at Etta Candy. In other words, stop taking his ****.

It wasn't the line/dialogue, it was the delivery.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he's captivated by the person in front of him. :o

That's exactly what I thought too. I'm sure that scene plays out after the Arthur scene. Note that Bruce's beard's gone.

There was obviously some words cut out before that was delivered. Her delivery was fine. That's how Gal talks in real life anyway. People are nitpicking like they are experts on acting.

I think she is supposed to say it in a way that audience will find amusing as it is basically a line which needs to be delivered comically.

God, No! I'm glad :ww: has an accent(as it should be) and that she's not looks like or sound like a common American woman .

Indeed. Difference in her demeanor between these two scenes was the first thing that came to mind, actually.

And I am happy I'm not alone in thinking that she is getting better, I was afraid that I might be seeing what I was hoping to see. I'd say that under Jenkins' direction (and now that they don't have to play with the "mysterious woman" trope, like in BvS), she truly seems to embody Diana's qualities. I'll never say that there is no one out there who could play the character better, period, but her casting was certainly a stroke of genius. And to think they could have so easily screw it up, by simply going for someone who could easily sell the warrior element of the character. Like most fancasts focused on.

 Well put. And there were some pretty shallow fan casts for WW and a few people keep wanting them to replace Gal simply because they have the body builder with the big chest look and somehow that's all they want from Wonder Woman.

What's this from?

'Keeping Up With the Joneses', starring Jon Hamm, Gal Gadot, Isla Fisher and Zach Galifianakis.

Filmed quite some time before she started filming Wonder Woman.
