World Gambit

Neptune i agree wit you 1 million percent...perhaps a gambit movie? only about him? Gambit: year one?? and the movie could be about gambit only..if that ever happened i would be first in line to watch the movie, if the movie started at 12: at night, id still go to see it :)

I'm still bummed they cancelled his book. I didn't think it was that bad. :down

his new book
I liked both books, actually, and was equally bummed both times when they were cancelled.:down

Well hey, let's admit it. Gambit's not all that interesting as a solo hero. Most of the X-Men wouldn't be interesting outside of the team.

I disagree too. I think there are a few X-men who could be interesting on their own and Gambit's one of them. He's a individualist, a thief with a knack for trouble. When he's in New Orleans he could be doing all sorts of things. And not just New Orleans. He's been all over the world and has connections with so many people (good and bad). Wolverine is interesting on his own too. But people like Cyclops, Jean, Beast wouldn't be interesting as a solo hero. They wouldn't be out stealing stuff, flirting with women, being chased by the mob etc. They just wouldn't get themselves into as much trouble as Gambit would.
In my opinion, if you think Gambit isn't interesting a solo hero then none of the X-men are. Except Wolverine.

They should have kept his book as him pulling one challenging pinch after another. They had advertised his last book as being such, but that's not really what it was.

I think ganbit and gambit truely are the only good solo heroes from the X-men
Iceman did once good when he went to asia for something about him having a kid and they were holding him hostage

From issue four, Gambit and Blade cross paths.

Steve Skroce is one of my favorite Gambit artists. He made everyone look good.

Right, which is why he's had two solo books cancelled. Because he's such an interesting solo character.

I like Mr. Skroce too...especially his work on X-Man

I like his attention to detail. He drew Gambit with that long, aristocratic, and very French nose. :D No one made him look as good except for Larrocca. Larrocca is my current favorite artist for Gambit.

 No one made him look as good? Did you forget about Jim Lee!?

That is true. Yeah, Jim Lee is going back a bit for me. All that wild hair and gleaming eyes. Jm Lee was good, too.

Funny thing about Steve Skroce's run on Gambit...

As you may or may not know, he did a ton of work on the Matrix. The Mengo Brothers (who he drew first, even though other people drew them afterwards) bear an uncanny resemblance to the Wachowski Brothers.

...just thought that was cool.

You're right! :D I liked the Mengo brothers, I thought they were funny. Fabien Nincienza is also one of my favorite writers. I might be mistaken, but I think Deadpool might be one of his creations. It would explain why I liked both books fora time.

That scene is classic. Gambit kisses (robot) Jean in front of Cyclops. Cyclops get's mad but Jean doesn't mind at all. Take that Cyclops! :p
