I feel it's getting to the point where they hurt eachother more if they stay together so it's best they split up. But in my shipper heart I know that no matetr what they do, no matter how many people they're with in their lifetime, they will eventually see that they're meant for each other and wind up together as two old cooks laughing at each other's fart jokes.

Well, his name isn't Staffboy, it's Gambit. So i for one think that the cards are way more important to his persona then the staff. That and his eyes. The cards because his name is Gambit, and the eyes because they are just way cool.
I for one don't think he lost his powers, but even if he did, Gambit is an interesting character all on his own. Most of the time I even forget he has powers, since he reliez heavily on his other skills, namely charm and fighting. He's not just a mutant that happens to be a thief.
He's a theif that happens to be a mutant.

No he shouldn't become a horseman he should be one the guys who actually save the day considering everyone thinks he is going to flip to the darkside.

Hey y'all! Dude, I'm freaked I didn't find this gorgeous thread earlier before posting a Gambit/Remy LeBeau Casting Thread in another section. Anyway, there's one guy I've always wanted to see as Gambit ever since I first spotted him on "Adventures of Sinbad."

This is what he looks like as is, without any fanciful Gambit additions - and he STILL looks amazingly like the Animated Series incarnation (see photos with Wikipedia entry):

Just read X-men annual and he ain't dead! Rogue probably absorbed his entire being and now he's stuck in her head and she's probably going to go to Sinister who's going to clone ol Gambit out of a bugger or smth and then they're going to download his conciousness from Rogue's brain and there ya go!
