A fan of, whatever. Either way I don't see the big deal. Not everyone is going to like it. That is just the way it is with everything.

PS3, 360 has been out a while now, wheras PS3 is just starting to pick up the pace and show itself of as the better machine. This time next year, there'll be no question that PS3 is better, it's just playing a little bit of catch up atm due to the later release.

I love this argument, just wait, PS3's gonna get so much better, just a little longer and it's gonna be awesome. All the while 360 continues to rock and keeps coming out with great games, while the PS3 owners are still waiting for games announced 3 years ago. You're still waiting for that potential Sony sold you on, I'm more for living in the now and now 360 has more and better games.

You don't even like the original Mario games? They are the pinnacle of old school platformers.

Well i used to love them, but, well I'll put it this way, i haven't thoroughly enjoyed a game featuring Mario in about 15 years. The character just doesn't appeal to me anymore.

DMC on ps3 is so much better than it's 360 counterpart. Unreal tournament is fantastic. Turok is brilliant. I don't spend all my time playing a ps3, so there's plenty of decent games for me.

Turok is not brilliant, not matter how you spin it. At best, its solid.

How is DMC "so much better" on the PS3 than the 360? Because the load times are cut in half? :whatever:

I have a feeling that payneintherear isn't comming back :(

Graphics are far smoother, and the controls are also designed especially for Ps3. The 360 version is a shoddy port in all honesty. A game designed and developed for one system is obviously going to be better on that system....

And Turok not fun? You stab dinosaurs in the head? And the online multiplayer is awesome, the dino's being there and the fact that you can have a bow and arow make huge differences, actually allowing you to play stealthily in a FPS for once!

The graphics are not "far smoother" and the controls work just fine. That is a Sony fanboy argument if I've ever heard one.

So that's one for the PS3, but the overall ratio of better 3rd party games is in the 360's favor, plus a decent amount of multiconsole games come out on the 360 a few months before the PS3 versino.

I never said that 360 didn't have more games.

Ps3 is better for those people who want to just play a few really good games, but not spend ages playing. The machine is reliable and doesn't break. The controlls are better, which is why microsoft released the S type controller ages ago, an obvious attempt to make the controller more like the playstation one.

The playstation 3 is more powerful, as had been shown with it's super-computer use, where their processor power can be linked and used as a supercomputer, which is pretty impressive to be honest.

But if you want to spend a lonf time playing lots of different games, then sure, buy a 360.

First off, my post wasn't just to say the 360 has more games, it's that most multiconsole games play better on the 360 than the PS3 because it's an easier/more developer friendly machine than the PS3, so companies make the game for the 360 and port it to the PS3. Power doesn't matter when a company finds it too difficult to utilize that power.

Yeah, why would I want lots of different games available for my videogame system. That's gotta be the worst argument I've ever read. Also were you trying to say the 360 doesn't have any really good games? There's a good deal of incredible games for the 360.

As for the reliability, yes, there is the RROD problem, I did get it and it was disappointinting for those two weeks, that how long it takes for them to send you a box, you to ship to them and get the X-Box back, all at no charge. Really not that bad. What's your next argument, Microsoft make you pay for online? Yeah that less than $5/month sucks...

The S type controller was just a smaller xbox controller with the white and black buttons moved. It still didn't resemble a PS2 controller in the least bit. They had to change it, the original was gargantuan.

I think to get the most out of this gen, you need to get a Wii and one of the other two. The PS3 and 360 are essentially the same thing. Just with different exclusives, different quality of online play, and a slightly different focus (360 is a gaming machine, PS3 is an all-media-machine) But otherwise they are the same.

Thats what I've been telling most of my friends and myself. This past weekend I went to my uncle's house and he's a heavy X-Boxer, he has a grip load of games for his X-Box and his 360. I was playing CoD 4 and Gears, and it just gave this kinda, raw feeling that I dont get when I play my Wii. But when I play my Wii with my cousins and what not, its not the same feeling I get when I was playing Gears' co-op with my uncle. Its a matter of how you want to play when you want to play it, for me personally I know I need to get a 360 to fulfill the other side of my Wii gaming.

The Wii is cheap enough that you can have it and another console. Thats pretty much how its always been. I dont have a HD console yet. But I had a PS and a N64, then I got a PS2 and a Gamecube (I <3 Gamecube) and now I just have a Wii.

And I'm leaning hard towards getting a PS3

If I remember correctly PS2 didn't have any really good games for a while. I mean Timesplitters? Maybe?
