Say, what happened to the wildings after the battle of Castle Black? For a while, it was implied that Stannis' army was keeping them prisoner, but eventually everyone was acting like the ones who left Hardhome were the only ones left.

i figured a lot of them were prisoners, a lot of them fled to hardhome when Stannis attacked... but nothing is really said in the show.
