Could be that True Blood has a high paid cast?

What was the blonde princess' handmaids doing to her hands? It seemed weird because it was after Lady Stark grabbed the dagger in the previous scene.

:doom: :doom: :doom:

The princess who's lived in one castle or another her whole life. Suddenly banged on rocks then expected to ride (which she has never done) for days non stop. Yes the reins cut her hands up, her butt is sore, her back is in pain, she's sick from the constant jostling to the point where she cannot eat.

I would like to see if any of us do any better having never ridden a horse then join up with The Monguls essentially. The Dothraki only stop to fight or when they (rarely return to their "city").

She's on her way to warn Ned and the kids of the Lannister's treachery. A commoner in that world cannot afford Valerian Steel, only the richest can have that stuff. Think of it as Damascus Steel in this world. In fact, valerian steel is so rear that you can easily figure out who owns it, kinda like who owns the Ferrari on your block.

She also wants to go to the Vale to see her sister, Lisa Arryn, since Jon Arryn (Lisa's Husband, Kat's brother in law, Ned's Brother in law and old commander when he and Robert where knights) was the former Hand Of The King who was murdered.

BTW, I'm loving how the Direwolves are growing. I'm glad they on purpose didnt show the mother very well so you didnt get the scale of the thing. People are gonna be freaking out (mostly next season) when wolves the size of horses are charging into battle next to their Stark, tearing through horse, man and armored knight like f-ing paper. Direwolf battles are some of my favorite scenes.

Seriously, I get that you read the books and you're happy it's a TV show but shut the **** up about future events. You spoil way too much and it bothers me.

It's all in spoiler tags, don't read it if you don't want to. It's that simple. Watch your language buddy.

No need to talk that way, it was in spoilers, you've been warned and infracted enough for things like this in past to know better....so take a few days off.

Are Direwolves endangered/scarce? I got that impression when they found the pups.

I personally love the spoilers..kinda :oldrazz:

even though I never read the books

I'm loving this show so far!!

They are thought to be extinct in Westeros, just like dragons. But from fossils we know that they were the largest canine species to walk this planet ... and they are/were American too.

He means that they were actual animals from prehistoric days found on the North American Continent. They are a bit different in Game of Thrones. I don't believe the real direwolves grew as big as the ones in Game of Thrones will grow.

Someone earlier in this thread compared the look of the direwolves on GOT to the wolves on True Blood, saying the direwolves on GOT "looked better."

I didnt quite get how one wolf looked better than the other? But funny thing is, that through doing some research and watching some of the behind the scenes stuff on both shows, I found out that the wolves on TB are actual timber wolves, whereas the direwolves on GOT, at least so far, aren't actually wolves at all but Tamaskan dogs (a breed that combined husky, alaskan malamute, and german shepherd to make a "wolf like" dog)

Pretty cool looking breed: http://www.tamaskan.com/

I'm liking that everyone thinks the direwolves are cool already. The "coolest" one has only made a brief apperance so far.

Just throwing this out there

He just "stated" on his blog that he's officially done! I predict 30 min. before the "When's the Winds of Winter coming out?" questions start.

Awesome ep. It's great how they've set up such tension and intrigue in s little as two eps.

I love Lena Headey, but man do i hate her character in this.

digging the show so far, i like starks big-ass sword. always wanted to see someone use a big bastard sword, this is not that, but still big.

What a great episode.

I suggest we replace the word *****ebag with 'Joffrey'
Signed!

I loved it when Tyrion slapped Joffery around. Joffery ranks up there with one of the most vile and stroke inducing character ever written.
I can't wait to see all the wonderfully painful things karma has in store for him in the future.

The scene where Ned had to kill Lady was very touching.

I wish they wouldn't focus so much on the dragon eggs so soon. They need to build on that story line more and then have the payoff.

I love the intro, it is darn near perfect for this show.

Maybe if he had just released her into the forest instead of killing her :csad:

I ****ing hate Cersei for having Lady killed. I really want her to die soon. :o

I spoiled myself earlier and read a wiki on the characters. Personally, I don't care about spoilers. It helps me understand the story better, not get attached to people who die, and anticipate those who will. What happens with Daenerys and how her character changes sounds really good and enough of a reason to keep me watching.
